considering it looks better than anything even the beefiest gaming pc can produce, i can't imagine what your expectations were.
halo 4 was the most visually impressive 360 game - i'm sure whatever she comes up with next will be awesome looking, too
just don't get banned
i'm not sure i understand why this would look any better than just having the camera set at a slight angle...?
i know, me too. big missed opportunity on sony's part. considering kz3 supported it, i'm a little surprised they didn't bother with shadow fall - without it, there's basically no reason to buy a camera, and no assurance anything is coming down the line to change that.
yes - one of my new favorite game soundtracks. very evocative and dramatic. i thought the gameplay was great, too. i played it on normal and found it challenging enough - i tried a level on hard and found that it just turned enemies in to bullet sponges which kind of broke the game's balance - it made the OWL's attack function basically useless.
well, they're an offshoot of the verge, which was probably on metacritic before the bulk of their gaming news was moved to polygon. polygon also has a number of veteran game journalists which gives them some clout.
not trying to defend them, or anything - i find their game coverage pretty weak, in general.
resistance 3 was great, but not a launch title. resistance: fall of man was, and it was pretty middling, in my opinion.
killzone shadow fall, however, is a great ps4 launch game. i'm finding the campaign to be really good, and graphically it beats out literally everything else out there, and i say that as a PC gamer with a rig that can max out anything i throw at it.
mine's running fine
most games won't make sense to dual release. it tends to only make sense for indies, and the vita isn't a hard platform to develop for in regards to more simple games like that. sony provides a lot of assistance to small dev teams on top of it.
if you're a fan of the vita, you should be hoping for exclusive vita content - not dual release games, anyway.
which would you rather have: a vita that lives on as both a companion to the ps4 and a great place to play indies, sony first party games and the occasional 3rd party game? or a failed system that gets little to no support because it's install base is so small that developing for it is a waste of time?
this writer is such a whiny douche it makes my brain hurt. the idea of being upset because the vita is getting tons and tons of free, positive press is just stupid.
any fan of the vita should be incredibly excited that it's getting to share the spotlight with the ps4 - it can really only help it.
i just had to try a few times and i got in - took about 5 minutes total. once i connected, it did take a long time to actually log in, sat on the 'please wait' message for another 5 or 10 min.
i was just in my local gamestop the other day, and sure enough - the girl behind the counter was rocking a pair of these stupid ears. i though it was just her questionable style at play, nothing about it gave any hint towards a tie in with super mario 3d world, so i'd call that a complete promotional failure.
looks good - seems people are getting really confused about the difference between vita/ps4 direct connection and wifi connection.
*high five*
i agree they have a lot of bright minds working at the company - though i'd argue that carmack has been surpassed by others as far as his engineering skills go. the man is a genius, no doubt, but looking at the mess that was RAGE makes me question where his head is at nowadays...
but that said, if they're expecting to release the rift next year with android support from the get-go (as they've said is their plan) then not supporting consoles for their 'limitati...
pretty dumb thing for them to say. it seems like they're really over-estimating the power of mobile devices.
look at things now - even the most powerful phone can't match ps3 visuals. its getting close, but we're at the end of the console cycle and mobile still hasn't caught up. the same thing is going to happen this gen, and there's no reason to think otherwise.
the only ps4 game my target is selling is call of duty. their ad even says that most games won't be available until friday - i guess you got lucky that the one you went to was selling games early.
i personally liked how big and open the levels were. i never really felt lost because i was constantly exploring, trying to find voice memos the other collectibles. i though the game did a pretty good job of letting you know where your actual objective was located, but i've seen enough people complain about it that it's obviously an issue that could have been better addressed.
