they'd lost money developing a new game for vita. ports of AAA games like this is the best we can expect.
i think the harm of making themselves look bad in the first place outweighs the benefits of "looking like they listen."
take the xbox brand - they backtracked on all the stuff people complained about, but they're still suffering from the initial bad impression. that's a much larger scale example than this is, of course, but it shows that being receptive is not going to win over as many people as the original mistake alienated in the first place.
the retail copy is still the better deal - it comes with 3 months of ps+, which is worth at least $10, and has the added value of being re-sellable.
i agree. i actually really liked shadow fall, a lot more than the general consensus at least, but dr3 is the next-gen exclusive i've had the most fun with so far.
yeah, on 2 platforms, both with install bases 20 times larger than the xbox one's. what's your point?
they need to include xbox games in this asap. ps plus makes live look like bad value in comparison.
it does seem like a waste of resources. ms should be putting that time and money towards more exclusives.
without even clicking the link, i can guess that this is an arthur geis review. does he complain about how hard the game is?
yeah, i caved in and bought a one when it hit $450 with titanfall and a year of live included - i didn't expect to own one so early in it's lifecycle, but i have to say, i'm pleasantly surprised by how much i like it. ps4 will remain my main gaming system, but the bone is pretty cool, too.
anyone who wants one system or the other to fail is a moron, frankly.
what are you talking about? ps4 and xbox one each have 1 exclusive fps.
i guess i mean the aesthetics/art direction more than anything. the game might be ok, but i find its visual style to be pretty hideous.
i envy your optimism. no way are AAA releases going to be given away for free one month after they're released.
uhg, stick it to the man looks awful, hope that's not the US ps4 freebie, though i'm pretty sure it will be.
muramasa for vita will be nice, at least.
that's... from a year ago.
i own both systems so i'll end up getting the ps4 version for the exclusive content, but honestly, from the distance i sit from my tv (about 5 or 6 feet) combined with it's screen size (42 inches), i'm not sure i can tell the difference between 900+p and 1080p. the difference is more obvious from my computer monitor 2 feet from my face, but from the couch i think a 1/10th drop in resolution is negligible.
looks like someone was having a stroke while they wrote that headline.
i'm pretty sure the xbox one is about 1 million software units ahead of the ps4, despite a smaller install base. that's not 'about equal' and it's a actually fairly impressive lead (and one publishers are sure to note.)
regardless, both consoles are actually doing quite well - far outpacing their last gen counterparts. i'm glad the ps4 is "winning" because it's the better system. i'm glad the xbox one is doing well because sony needs ...
uh oh, a well reasoned, level headed commentary on the nature of "THE CONSOLE WAR" - time for irrational fanboys to freak out!
Real gamers own all systems. Console wars are for simple minded goons who can't seem to grasp the sad truth that their playstation/xbox/nintendo will never love them back.
leave it to a games "journalist" to confuse a surface tablet running the windows port of halo 2 for an HD upgrade...
