this article is a joke. he's comparing 360 sales at the system's peak with the xb1's sales now.
if you look at the 360's oct to nov increase at the same lifecycle point (1 year in), its sales actually only (more or less) doubled from month to month (220k to 510k). so the xb1 tripling sales actually is an achievement.
as an owner of both systems, seeing these juvenile attempts at undermining one system or the other is irritating.
resolution is but one small part of what makes a game look good. you can upscale a wii game to 1080p - it will still look worse than ryse at 900p.
ice t's advice: get a plastic surgeon to build you one based on the drawing of a 'sexy woman' by an 8yr old boy.
ironically, i actually would have bought ac:rouge for the wii u, were it available. i'm much more interested in buying a new game for it than ps3/360. i'm just gunna pass on the game entirely now. amazing how poorly ubisoft reads the market sometimes.
it's adorable how people flip out when ms "buys" an exclusive, but when sony does the same thing (bloodborne, no man's sky, deep down, etc) no one seems to question it.
it's just business. both sides are trying to obtain exclusives to give consumers a reason to buy their device.
what are you talking about? i have two 22" 1080p monitors plugged in to my pc right now. they do not "cut off the edges" of anything.
there are tons of 1080p laptops and tablets that are under 20" so i have no idea where you came up with the concept that any screen under 24" couldn't display at that resolution. in fact, many small screens display at that resolution and beyond. off the top of my head, the new surface 3 tablet is 1440p. or every si...
i guess you never learned how statistical sampling works. it's the standard practice of using a sample of a larger demographic to extract data from. if a large enough sample is recorded, the margin of error when extrapolating to the whole is quite small.
cool story. there are lots of people, as shown in the survey, that game at that resolution or higher. you're in the minority, though.
10 million new users means 10 million more people with diverse pc set ups - including those with sub-1080p monitors. there's nothing to suggest these new users would be statistically divergent from current users.
deep down is probably not hitting this year. but lbp3 is. still... kind of a rough list. it's too bad that the order isn't hitting this winter. i bet ms is happy though, because their exclusive lineup for the holidays is much more enticing and will probably help give them some momentum. the stronger the competition, the better, i say.
no, this is about the changes made to the service recently, as stated in the headline.
before, you had access to a large collection of games, available to download at all times. now, you have to grab the games the month they're made available - after that, they're swapped out for new games. doesn't bother me, personally, but some people don't like it, i guess.

yeah, this multimillion dollar activision franchise will save us all from that other multimillion dollar activision franchise...
great article.
assassin's creed is one of the *only* modern AAA franchises to have a female (of color, no less) as a protagonist, and yet the media seems intent on shaming ubisoft every chance they get. i really don't understand it.
as pointed out in the article, people are more interested in expressing faux outrage than anything else.
yeah, i do not get it. either the article's author is a complete moron, or he's a troll. either way, he should be ignored.
really? you have no idea? if you don't think that games other than smash bros and mario kart can draw people to the wii u, then you must have a worse outlook on the system than i do.
also, just because nintendo is "planning a future for" metroid games (no shit they are), doesn't mean those games are necessarily coming to the wii u.
i have a wii u and i haven't touched it since i beat 3d world. i guess i'll keep the thing to play zelda next year, which looks amazing of course, but as someone who has no interest in mario kart or smash bros, and didn't really like bayonetta that much, there isn't much on the horizon for me to be excited about.
i'm keeping my fingers crossed that a new metroid prime will be released for the system, but i'm getting the sinking suspicion that the seri...
yes, the beta that's been available for months is... still available. thanks for the update.
halo 2 hd is definitely happening.
this wasn't a tease for it, though.
yeah, you can always spot an xbox fanboy by how they praise the ps4 controller.
he clearly owns both consoles - keep saving those pennies and maybe someday you will too! then you won't have to make embarrassing comments on the internet about "xbox sheep".
