Positive word of mouth seems to be whats selling Kinect now.

MS knows not to got into the handheld market Nintendo destroyed Sony with the DS and is currently the best selling console of all time. The 3DS could possibly even top that, so the PSP2 will already struggle even though its already establish if MS tried they would have no chance.
Looks like Kinect is still dominating the sales charts even after the xmas rush, so much for it being a flop.
I guess it only got lower than the first because the first was so original and LBP2 just builds on it rather than taking it to a whole different level, like full 3D.

So this mean the PS3 will be the first ever home console which can be hacked purely through software without any need to pay for addition stuff like a modchip for the 360.

SE is pretty big they likely already have a separate team porting the PS3 version to the 360 just like they did with FFXIII.
SE can't afford to not have a 360 version when FFXIII sold over 1ml on the 360, they will also need to release at the same time for maximum exposure for both platforms, since it will be more expensive to advertise both versions separately.
So the door has been unlocked wide open.
If someone creates a PS2 emulator what does that mean for HD remakes. Sony may be forced to return the functionality.
So the PS3 is now the easiest console to hack in gaming history. Least they got something out of those 4 years.
