More or less its really publishers(not say some developers are equally to blame) that favors online players. Its one of the easiest ways to monetize off gamers.
We are living in the CoD era. Publishers and developers see how great CoD sells and think to themselves that if their game has multiplayer it will sale a ton. Instead of trying to make their multiplayer mode unique it ends up being a CoD clone.
Don't even get me started on content ripping then ...
Time exclusives for Just Cause 3 or the exclusive with the code name "Project Mamba." Then again Project Mamba probably is Just Cause 3 seeing as its being co-developed with SE.

"They are grabbing mainstream attention first and can focus entirely on gamers at E3."
The problem with that is the conference was majorly viewed by gamers and not the mainstream/casual audience. Xbox One failed to even grab the mainstream attention. ...
Best to take things like this with a grain of salt. SE still have a lot of other unfinished projects so I really wouldn't get my hopes up.
Obviously majority of gamers don't like MS stance on drm, so that would be a no brainer. The only ones left to "round up" are the publishers and devs.
For or Against
EA: For
Capcom: For
Ubisoft: For
I don't think it could be that bad. Unless they give Batman that scruff voice. Make characters look nothing like they used too and some cheesy storyline.
I still have to finish Arkham City. I beat Arkham Asylum and enjoyed it.
I've see some cheaper gaming laptops. Lenovo has a great midrange gaming laptop for under $900.
Sure it wouldn't be able to run every thing on ultra but it can run most games on medium setting and even some on high settings
Same here I usually wait a month or two before I buy a new release game. At during that period Amazon might drop the price $45 or less.
The video game industry makes billions a year but the companies act like used games and piracy is about to shut them down any minute now. I'm glad every other industry isn't like this because we would be screwed.
Saying that "Nintendo just rehash all their series hasn't done anything different in a long time", will get your head shot off by the hardcore fanboys.
Why this might attract a few people I doubt it will get attention they're hoping for.
Last time majority of us heard about Onlive was when all the employees got laid off and the company got brought for a measly 4million dollars.
Here comes the high price tag
$2,299 yep
Just because GTA V has it, it doesn't mean its a necessary requirement for future games. Some games in the past had multiple protagonist way before GTA V was conceived. So its really nothing new.
Unless done right I can see a lot of games being all over the place failing to get the player to understand the primary goal of the overall game.
Its just smack talk to get the fanboys on each side rowed. So take it with a grain of salt.
When bills start paying for themselves college tuition is lower then I will jump on your side until then I'm with Patcher on this(for once).
Cost of living has steady increase of the past decade alone while the price of videogames still $60.
In 2011 in video game industry made 65billion according Reuters( http://uk.reuters.com/artic... S...
you forgot "Fish with AI"
Its just smack talk to get the fanboys on both sides rowed.
"We're starting with the focus on core games" If only you guys could've shown that at the conference. Future note for upcoming conferences should focus on games. And please no more Usher or any other musician at your conference unless that conference is specifically for music.
Whelp someone beat me to it. Here's to hoping MS can turn things around and surprise us.
Amazon and Steam will become my place to purchase my games from because I'm not about to pay $60 for every game I want. Green Man Games also tend to have some deals as well. Either those three, ebay or I will be waiting a year or two for the games to get heavily discounted.

While Gamestop wouldn't take a full hit but their main source of profit will be gone. No more buying games from customers for $20 or less then selling them for $40 or more. While MS said they ...
Microsoft should allow the system to function without Kinect. This privacy issue will not die until they do.
I get it makes it easier to turn the Xbox on,off or etc and all but how hard is it for use to get up and do that ourselves or use a controller to start our games?
I'll enjoy it, once the price gets down to $15 or less or if I rent it from gamefly.
