Yeah, Ar Tonelico's (there you go, it isn't that hard to remember) where it's at, to be honest.
Though Neptunia's fun, for like the 15 hours I've played it so far.
"bad in every way" seems like a shallow statement, for one.
Second, the Gamespot review? That one doesn't even critizice the game subjectively, it's just a rant about how the game has "sexualized minors"; written by a female, no less, so that's quite the horrible example you just provided.
Darksiders? S.T.A.L.K.E.R? Red Faction? Company of Heroes? Metro 2033? Any of the Warhammer games?
...On the downside, they also publish lotsa shovelware.
...And that's why they're now using the 360 as the lead, dude. To please them PS3bros.
@captain-obvious
Actually, Neckbear's right.
From develops the AC Franchise, and also self-publishes it.
Hello, Mister Raven_Nomad.
I am going to present to you the Ar Tonelico series.
Featuring branching plots and paths, as well as choices that ACTUALLY affect the game, I believe that would be your kind of thing. AT Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel is going to release soon, even, so rejoice!
I find your generalizations hilarious, to be honest. There are alot of JRPGs providing choices that affect endings, character relationships and the storyline itself ...
No objections here, either, but I must say, it hardly looks and feels like an "M" game. Aside from the stripping, that's it.
Would be, if it wasn't because at most it shows underwear.
Because you can't have actual porn featuring fictional flat-chested, cute 14-something years old girls doing suggestive stuff.
At least not without it being illegal.
Neptune's voice actor...
...
Well, at least Compa sounds good.
"These games would be a waste of money to get it localised with English voice actors and translators."
That would be true, if not because other companies do EXACTLY that and DON'T EVEN LOSE MONEY.
In fact, they make a profit.
So, yeah.
That's what most people bitch about these days.
Anyways, what do you consider "your money's worth"?
For me, it's an enjoyable experience. As long as I'm satisfied with it, I got my money's worth. After all, if I really like the gameplay, I replay games. That's it.
What about you?
Than when you buy a game as Vanquish, YOU are telling the developers YOU want good games that try something else BECAUSE THEY ARE WORTH 60$.
When you bitch about no multiplayer, DEVELOPERS and PUBLISHERS will both agree that they need to tackle some multiplayer on a game JUST SO PEOPLE WILL BUY IT.
Perfect example: Dead Space 2.
Completion Time pointed out at screen =/= how much time it REALLY took you (Including cutscenes, retries, etc.)
I meant Sony and Microsoft of America (And probably Europe).
There are a few rumours than both Sony and Microsoft do NOT allow Visual Novels on their consoles.
Sure, there is Disgaea Infinite as an example, but I believe that's an exception because it has some kind of "gameplay". In fact, I think the DS is the only console that somewhat has Visual Novels in it with regularity (Although most of them have puzzles or some clever gameplay mechanic in them.)
Eh, still, there's always fan translations for P...
Well, I don't know Japanese so I can't really try them out, as they are pretty much Visual Noverls (I think.)
But yes, Haruhi games can't be hack 'n' slash or something else like that, but my point was than I'd rather to see non-liscensed games than games based on Haruhi, K-On! or something like that.
Seeing at how risqué the game seems like, at first I would somewhat doubt a localization, but then again, it's Atlus.
Also, I just said that since the 360 is a little bigger here in America, and Atlus wants to get some good sales, wich is why indeed somewhat ensuring a localization.
Then again, as I said, it's Atlus, so yeah.
I wonder, would you REALLY want a HARUHI game? Besides, it's pretty much a Visual Novel, wich is the first Strike (and probably the Out as well), since it's pretty much a "No localization."
I mean, I have nothing against Anime-based games (Note: I'm saying games based on different animes, not games with anime art style), but most of the time they're pretty much shovelware.
Yeah, I know I don't. I'd rather see JRPGs or some ot...
I do not see why a guy that's simply expressing his opinion should "shut up", even when you don't agree with it.
Believe it or not, he's kind of right. It's just needless filler of some sort; unexiting, for one. This man has nothing but voice up his opinion, most of which I've agreed with.
