Well, it's a good shooter, with some twists that make it a worthwhile experience. But it was hyped as revolutionary before it came out, and when it wasn't, people kinda skipped it. Too much hype can also harm a game.
I really liked the opening scene in the bar...and the scene where you "land" on the tiny asteroid-object for the first time was pretty cool as well.
It's a shame they didn't develop the spirit features more, though...they should have been the f...
Well, obviously you do have money to waste, otherwise you wouldn't use Windows. The no-cost software choices are rather limited in the windows world, and I take you for an honest guy that has bought and licensed all software like it should be done. So you have a licensed Windows operating system, legal Microsoft Office Suite, paid Adobe Photoshop Suite, etc. All this money you have wasted, because you could have got the same functionality for free.
As I said, you will never make ...
Oh, it IS theft, eh? So why is it handled differently in courts? Because it is NOT theft, it is fraud, copyrights infringement, illegal use, whatever, but it is NOT handled as theft, because it isn't theft. Theft is when you take something away from someone. They no longer have it, but you do. In software piracy, you either make an illegal copy, or you use a service without the provider's agreement. You don't steal anything, period. It's the same with all the examples you provided, they are a...
It's still a mistery to me how they count those "torrent downloads" in a peer to peer network.
Piracy is NOT theft. If you steal a Ferrari, someone has one less Ferrari. This doesn't happen with software piracy. Piracy is also a stupid expression to describe the matter, because real piracy includes theft, assassination, rape, etc.
Yeah, it was definately played with a controller (or a kid using mouse + keyboard).
Well, his posts are ridiculous and full of ignorance, but his critique of a part of the pc gamers community, the part that always rushes out and buys the newest stuff that doesn't really benefit them (maybe on a handful games) is not completely absurd. You can build a decent rig for 500$, but you can spend 10 times as much for not even double the gaming performance.
"it'll run slow at the fps people want"
Either it will run at the fps people want (fast) or it will not run at the fps people want (slow). I don't think people want it to run slow.
But yeah, as consoledood you probably don't know much about fps.
Uh, you shouldn't use tech expressions if you can't spell them right.
The hurdle for DX 10 and 11 is XP. Still more than 60% use it, and DX 10 or 11 don't run on XP. According to the steam survey: http://store.steampowered.c... there are more people using a DX 10 GPU on XP than on Vista. So only few gamers are upgrading to Vista because of DX10. If Windows 7 doesn't deliver, the same will happen to DX 11.
That's because Windows 7 is actually a Linux distro with a Windows GUI slapped on :).
Even if it was news, it is neither relevant nor gaming-related.
I think you will never switch over with this attitude, because Microsoft will always offer convenient operating systems for users with money to waste like you. So, you have tried different Linux flavors in the past? That's great. Yet you can't even name the reason why you go back to Windows. I could tell you, but maybe, if you think about it for a few minutes, you will learn something about yourself.
Ubuntu super lightweight? What are you raving about? It is one of the fattest distros available...
Also, what has this to do with gaming?
@sidar: If you look at the color of his bubbles, you'll notice that it's not his first comment. I was first considering sarcasm, but I don't think so, after his last post, and I just wanted to tell him that in my eyes HE is one of those who make this site a pain to read, sometimes.
Seriously trying to support crap like this game, sheesh...it can't be excused.
Which obviously includes you, because your arguments are as indecipherable as those from a 10-years old girl with no language or typing skills (and probably no other skills as well, a fact that doesn't stop you and the rest of this game's fanbase to aspire to public showcasing of complete inaptitude and insignificance).
It's a great game. A bit short, but packed with awesome puzzles. Some of the puzzles were so hard, like the one where you had to slow a falling ladder's bounce with your ring and climb up while the ladder was on the bounce's highest point...this sucker alone took me like 30 mins.
I had no troubles playing with a keyboard. You only need arrowkeys, space and shift, and gladly, exact timing is only rarely needed.
What I didn't quite get were the green/red books at the e...
I actually kinda like the second and third one, though. They might not be as well suited as box art as the final image, because they don't stand out enough from other titles, but I wouldn't mind having them as poster.
@Fullish: You mean like Linux is an OS that is not good enough to sell? I hope you were joking, dude.
Well said, indeed. Media is too expensive in general. Also, most of the times it is not possible to get an idea about what you are planning to buy, simply because there is no trial material. I rarely buy the cat in the sack, though, so I'm checking the stuff out by downloading pirated copies of the material. If the stuff is good, I buy it, because I want to own it and support the producer.
I can't afford more than 1 music cd, 1 dvd and 1 game a month, though.
