Haha, yeah. Also, I like your Avatar. Manliest man ever, sugarpop.
Valve is certainly a good current one. But studios like Origin, Microprose or Black Isle still have a better track record. Valve might surpass them, eventually, though, if they continue to release the same quality.
This century? The cult of Mammon has been strong for thousands of years.
Maybe now people will understand why GoW had so much motion blur and distance defocus, because otherwise the blur from MLAA would have been noticed.
Epic Mickey is the first game that makes me wish I had a console.
I mostly agree with you, but think that the soundtrack captures the paranoia element quite well. If you were in this situation, you'd constantly think a necromorph was behind you, too.
I agree with both of you. Doom3 did have some scary moments, but the silly monster spawns quickly led to boredom.
F.E.A.R. also had some moments, but they were just far too infrequent. Dito for Bioshock.
Why is the dude in the article talking about much-outdated hardware? 6800 Ultra? That was like 6 years ago. Nowadays you get the same performance for 50$.
I see what you did there. I don't know Rock Band, but I guess it doesn't have ups and downs in the tracks, so it's not exactly the same with a different background. Also, in Audiosurf, you have different gameplay-modes, you don't always have to hit the bricks (or not all of them).
Yeah, the title is a bit misleading, I doubt that "we all" have even heard of half of the games.
I'm not sure they would sell well on PC. I sure wouldn't buy them. I tried Halo and was pretty disappointed.
Most broken game ever was Dungeon Lords. Some time during early alpha development of the game, the devs thought: "Heck, we've been at it like 14 months, let's put it out there". And they did.
Haha, i completely forgot about the topsy turvy bomb...
The shark gun. Google it.
Hard to choose, but some of my favourite (I only chose playable characters):
- Francis (Left 4 Dead)
- Cutter Slade (Outcast)
- Batman (Arkham Asylum)
- Max Payne
- Geralt of Rivia (The Witcher)
- Kain (Legacy of Kain)
- Guybrush Threepwood (Monkey Island)
- Roger Wilco (Space Quest)
- Darth Revan (Knights of the Old Republic)
- Minsc & Boo (Baldur's Gate)
Gordon Freeman's rol...
For 2000$, I can build at least three, if not four PCs capable of playing the mentioned games. PC can be expensive, but it doesn't have to.
Oblivion had zillions of generic caves and dungeons. I'm not sure mass is what people should be excited about.
There are many jobs in "game development", some of which require no math skills at all (2d/3d artist, sound engineer), and some of which require very mild math skills only (level designer, tester). But game programming is full of math.
I'm with you here. It's a joke that weed is forbidden but alcohol is not only allowed, but also suggested for a "normal" lifestyle. I say allow all drugs and remove the mitigation of punishment due to being under drug influence.
The driver for a new card is bound to have some problems.
