I don’t think executives think like fanboys. I agree with him. Nintendo used to make proper game consoles with huge libraries of AAA games. It was the place to play. Now all of that has turned into low powered portable gaming. And up until recently, only a handful of multi platform major game releases would hit switch. Hard eye roll to the naive writing here. This is just one reason why discs are going obsolete. ANY GAME makes their install disc useless as soon as the first patch comes out. You know how many games launch with “day one” patches these days? About 70% of them. Any time you have an update, expansion etc - your disc is useless.
