ok it was fun and nostalgic at first but now atari is proving to be a now 1 trick pony that has repeatedly simply tried to cash in on nostalgia while not really bringing anything new to the table. Its like a one hit wonder band that rides that one song for as long as the world will let them. When they came out with a new console, it was designed to remind you of the old console. the games that it plays? old classics.... come on atari. you used to be at the forefront, now you're pandering ...

which is fine... just be prepared to see the cost of games increase. Sony and EA have already demonstrated that they're ok charing $70 for a base game, and that revenue has to come from somewhere. MTs generate quite a lot of money ironically considering how much people claim to hate them.

if you count for inflation over the decades, the cost of a new game has actually gone down while the cost of development has gone up. The price of Outrun on the Sega Master System for ...

Sigh. This shot is not ok and needs to stop. People have a right to their opinions whether you agree or not. What a stupid thing to get threatening over. This fanaticism and fanboyism needs to stop.

There it is. There’s always at least one: the troll review

Every video of this game just looks nuts. I love it and can not wait for it to be released.

It’s an expensive piece of hardware that in my opinion isn’t a must have right now. The game lineup has some interesting things but nothing telling me to go buy more than a ps5’s price in new gear to play them. The HZD expansion is the most compelling of the lot, but again paying that much money to basicially play an expansion pack of a game I already played is not compelling enough at present.

Personally speaking, I’d have no problem paying almost $600 if the lineup was b...

Kinda expected bigger differences on the ps5 version honestly. I mean it’s sharper, but kinda feels like that’s it. Makes me wish it was only a ps5 title so they could have pushed it more. Don’t get me wrong, it’s gorgeous, but the differences are small for a next gen console.

I remember it and that era fondly. Simpler times.

The game has renewed my faith in the franchise. The campaign is good, multiplayer is great (tho curiously missing some modes at launch but are coming soon). Graphics and sound impressive, voice acting is high quality, performance is great (playing on series x) and it’s not another wwII theme. Happy I made the purchase.

Pay almost $600 for something I’ll barely Use (if my of psvr and quest 2 usage is any indication)

No thanks. I gotta see a lot more games coming and should be blowing me away before I make that purchase. Based on the line up I’ve seen so far, that isn’t happening anytime soon for me. I don’t need to spend more than the ps5 to play a Horizon Zero Dawn expansion.

its a pretty popular franchise tho and tons of people are familiar with it. i think the reality is that outside of the playstation perceived quality distortion field, its just an average game, bordering on unremarkable in a now popular sea of charming, cute miniature games. When you compare it to a game like Uncharted which up until recently was also not on PC, but a much more engaging, high quality experience that also did very well in sales on PC you can really see why.

probably because its a mediocre game that was bathed in the glow of playstation exclusive acceptance. when removed from that context, the reality distortion loses its effect and we see that its just an average game. its charming sure. but its not a must have game, and the reality is also that a game like Uncharted has far more appeal - from its jawdropping visuals, its engaging story, quality dialog etc... its just all round a more appealing experience.

Hmmmafter playing the campaign all weekend from early access, I am surprised by this review. I’m not saying it’s the greatest campaign, but I thought it was actually pretty good.

I just played the campaign all weekend (pre-order early access) and honestly I was surprised by this review. I felt the campaign was actually pretty good, the presentation is excellent (played on series x for ref) and the voice acting and story are good imo. The weapons and gunplay also feel as great as ever.

It doesn’t do anything groundbreaking but I too usually just play th campaigns, and if you like COD campaigns in general, this one fits right in.

i'm pretty excited for it and will def be picking it up. It's really cool to see all those iconic moments re-imagined. its almost like that was the vision that they wanted to achieve back then but just had to make due, and now we can actually achieve it.

its a shame sony paid to keep this huge title off other platforms for 12 months - especially after their arguments against ms' activision deal tho. this may be a bit off topic, but you can't help but think o...
