That’s not really how it works. Studios scale to meet production needs by employing contractors to fill in the gaps that the core staff can’t cover. Studios like this model bc contractors have different/easier flexibility and laws make them easier to let go when needed. They also usually don’t get benefits (sometimes they do) so that’s an added savings to the studio on top of the flexibility.

I'd like to see the numbers... sold out sounds nice, but if they only ran 10,000 units, that isn't saying much. we don't even have hard numbers on psvr2 either while we are at it... yet ps5 numbers get blasted out routinely.
their last showing wasn't exactly mind-blowing, and its been quite a minute. they dropped some mostly mediocre psvr2 titles (why did I buy this thing again?). Aside from Spiderman 2 - which I am admittedly not interested in (even if all of you are), the only stuff they have really mentioned is pretty far out.

There is zero evidence that video games cause violence so that part is a nonissue. To me, AAA games are supposed to be immersive. The more realistic, the more immersive it feels imo. If you can’t handle realistic simulated violence, play different games.
Also gonna be a prob when last gen gets completely dropped and full rdna2 is the minimum.
Ps5 already had a hint of this on the dead space remake. It had to run VRS in software (x and pc ran it hardware) cuz ps5 doesn’t have the full api suite of rdna 2 and VRS is one of those. It caused the textures to be all janky and they had to remove it altogether.
