and dont forget about the entire Wii library that is fully playable on the console as well. Sounds like a great combination if you ask me.

I'm really anxious for Monoliths next title. They gave me Baten Kaitos and Xenoblade, as an rpg developer they have proven themselves to be as good as either square soft or enix in the 16-32 bit era or at least on the road to that level of epicness.
I think Nintendo is really going to carve its market out this year with exclusives. I mean the next 3-4 months have quite a few launching. Monster Hunter, Rayman, 101, Bayo 2, Pikmin 3. That (at least to me) is alot of exclus...

All I wanna see are bricks. Somebody will blab the big secret, nintendo will release a system update, and if there is a gaming god there will be a brick in place of every hacked 3ds.

Its not necessarily shelling out hundreds of dollars to play those games on the Wii U. I've honestly never in my life seen any one game that made me want to buy an entire console. No game to me has ever been that good. As I said its the combination. And while those games may not look drastically better visually, they do add something over the other versions in remote play which is perhaps the best feature the console has imo with Miiverse a close second. Than there is the backwards compat...
Nintendo has almost always topped its tech demoes. That zelda demo they showed for the Wii U years ago was and still is ahead of any console title I;ve seen and if there is one company that can out do that its Nintendo.

That list looks quite good and Im actually surprised that I hadn't heard of a number of those titles. Considering none of the major nintendo hitters are on that list, 2013 could potentially be a humongous year for Nintendo. So far though its looking pretty good

Its getting a healthy helping of 3rd party multiplats, quality 3rd party exclusives, and of course the top notch nintendo first party titles. I love the console personally. Remote play is very convenient, the selection of games at launch is huge and varied, BC for all of my wii titles and accesories, and pretty damn quiet. Miiverse is a blast that I can just browse and gather opinions from or be wowed by the artwork. Its a month old I believe and so far its started out great. Got some good games coming the next few months that I'm really looking forward to.

The PS2 was a shoddy peice of hardware, everybody I know who had one had to get an extra one because the laser stopped reading their titles. I doubt over 150 millions people actually owned a new console. With that said however, the software is what defined the PS2, and it had that in spades. That was a generation of exclusives and PS2 had by far the best of that generation. They arent doing as good in the UK as they are everywhere else, but WiiU is still selling pretty damn good. 2million consoles sold, 2 million sellers, a 3rd party mature new ip in a not so popular genre has already sold over 300k, and quite a few other games, all 3rd party over 100k and still rising. It looks like a pretty successful launch imo. If things dont pick up in the UK yeah itll suck, but if things stay as they are now it wont make a world of difference in the long run.
I havent really had any problems with updating over my wifi and Im using century link. But as for the sound thing I just use stock so I havent noticed that limitation yet, it sounds like it sucks though. And idk why Nintendo is always overlooked in practically every catagory. ZombiU is actually a pretty scary game imo. Despite what the major sites have rated it I love the game and its atmosphere is executed quite well.
The fact that Xenoblade isnt even being mentioned on these lists bugs me and leads me to invest very little into them. I cant say Journey doesnt deserve it as Ive never played it or heard of it before today. But Xenoblade came out this year (NA) and was an amazingly deep experience with perhaps the biggest world in the 7th generation of consoles. What Monolith pulled off on such underpowered hardware should be applauded and acknowledged. But visuals aside the gameplay was something new for it...
SK is just in a slump. They've proven themselves they just need good leadership. Under Nintendo they gave us Eternal Darkness and Twin Snakes. When they tried to do dive into the HD realm more or less on their own its been stumble after stumble.
you mustve missed the last Nintendo Direct where they showed upgraded footage of Pikmin 3. It looks better than Gears and Uncharted. So its actually more like two months.
