Doesnt bother me at all. But looking at sales charts Halo outsells Killzone and God of War, as well as Uncharted. And the Kinect games do good numbers also. I personally prefer Nintendo for my home console fix and Sony for my handheld fix. But I watch the charts, and I see what exclusives are selling the most and which ones arent
peice of crap? Wow. 3ds may not have all the extra bells and whistles the vita has but the 3d effect is amazing and the games are great as well. Dual screen, touch screen and built sturdy? Plus the games are 40 bucks at most. Its a great handheld, and its crapping all over the Vita sales wise in both hardware and software.
A pricecut is a temporary sales boost if the software isnt there to back it up. NA needs more software to help a price cut be effective. Nintendo dropped the price of the Cube alot but it did very little outside of a few short bursts of sales. People saying the battle has begun tho, idk about that. Its going to take more than a week of good sales to really show anybody anything. The 3ds is doing 70k a week I believe, and pokemon and MH4 are on the horizon. It should make things a tad more int...
People are really counting MS out here, they have alot more money to spend then sony does and can take more of a hit with money loss per console. Or they can go a cheaper route and spend the extra money buying exclusive features like they did with the original xbox. MS doesnt need to go DDR5, DDR3 would be more than suitable and cheaper. If the only developers taking real advantage of all that extra power are 1st party devs than in the end it will be a waste much like the PS3. For as good as ...
I think the Wii U will be just fine game wise. Its getting good 3rd party support now and seems to be okay for the rest of the year. As long as the games sell and Nintendo continues to offer incentives then devs will continue to support it. I personally dont think the PS4 is strong enough to eliminate it from the equation, otherwise no game from the PC wouldve made it on the 360 or PS3. Money talks and as long as there is money to be made with Nintendo power will mean very little.
Idc how powerful the thing is if it costs an arm and a leg. 600 for a PS3 was too much and this thing sounds like its going to pretty close to that. Its stuffed with top of the line Ram, a more advanced controller, and semi expensive cpu abd gpu and built in hdd. There is a reason Sonys stock dropped after it was unvieled. I look at the Wii U as comparison. Its sold at a loss at 350. Sony cant really afford that kind of hit right now so im assuming itll be about 450 or 500, which imo is too e...
I didnt care that REMake on Gamecube used prerendered backgrounds, I just loved how good the game looked. So it uses smoke and mirrors (their term not mine) it still looks good visually if not a bit boring gameplay wise. This is what sony designed their console for, why the surprise or denial? And why bring up the Wii U? It wasnt designed with power in mind, it was about enhancing gameplay thru the controller method which imo it succeeded at.
I think a popular trend in the coming console cycle will be multiplats that stretch across gens. Its a smart idea to maximize sales. BF4 will probably hit the last gen and the current gen with similar results as BF3 on consoles and PC.
ok I guess. I dont wish for either company to croak, not because of the brands, but because of the people they employ who make a healthy legal living working for them. If all the console makers went out of business tomorrow Id still have plenty of great games to play so entertainment wise one over the other it doesnt really mean much. Hell the PSPGo was and is my favorite handheld of all time just because of the portable PS1 games I can play so I show no loyalty to one over the other. Ninten...
In the gaming world its cool to do two things, hate on Call Of Duty and Nintendo. But lets be honest, neither Nintendo or activision care. They still outsell the competition consistently. Kiss Sony's ass all day, their IPs dont make them anywhere near the money Nintendo's does, or even Microsofts for that matter. And Nintendo has more IPs than Sony. People will continue to hate because when Nintendo "milks" its franchises it makes more and more millions. When Microsoft milks...
so most of the ram is going to be gobbled by Kinect, game swapping, and other apps running concurrently. Same amout of onboard ram as the Wii U although faster. A 60 or so percent faster gpu, and an 8 core cpu running at 1.6. It sounds good, tho expensive for the kinect. And like MS will be blocking used game sales afterall
first we were supposed to wait a full year for the Vita to reserve judgement, now its E3 again? Last e3 didnt the vita get kind of ignored? It is ok to judge the system now. Its had two holidays under its belt and still no million sellers? I believe its a state of emergency for the handheld right now
what the vita needs is an identity. Right now it has no real idea what it is. Nintendo always established what their handhelds were about, Sony has not. They aren't portable consoles with watered down console ports, they are handheld systems with a library of handheld games designed around pick up and play in short bursts but still retaining enough depth to get lost in for hours. They didn't create a watered down Kingdom Hearts game, or Mario game, they created entirely new entries th...
Bundling is the best thing imo, nevermind a price drop, add a game or two. Sony did it alot in Japan with the PS3 and even out here with the Vita. Im sure the 3rd party companies would appreciate it and would help build those relationships
Not it wasnt actually. It was a hate it or love it kind of game. I and alot of other people loved it. If I had to choose a game to bundle this would be it. It helps get across the idea of new ways to play and interact with games, plus its a newish ip
how can this be a bad thing? Great deal, helps sell a 3rd party exclusive, brings in more customers. It has win written all over it
Its like confirming Madden at this point. We know its coming, hell we even know when. DOUBLE HELL, we usually know what itll look and play like also.
thats kind of what Ive been saying for a while. And while the images dont look bad and Im sure they will improve, its not blowing my mind like the jump from PS to 2, or 2 to 3. I think alot of fans are setting themselves up for disappointment
Xenoblade on Wii had amazing draw distance. X on Wii U looks to up the ante exponentially. So we get great draw distance, huge monsters, and overall great looking visuals. Plus we get the tablet remote and remote play as well as Nintendo exclusives which there are alot of. The very best looking PC games aren't leagues beyond whats on consoles now, and most everyone believes that the next PS and MS consoles wont look as good as the top of the line on PC now. THere wont be a huge visual dif...
The psp sold quite a bit but its software didnt perform as well, which is probably why developers are treating it like the Wii of the handheld world. Over a year and still not one million seller? THey need a killer app, and should position a price cut for when it releases to not only boost sales, but to sustain them as well
