Well Wii U has backwards compatitiblity. As did the Wii, PS2, PS3 early on, and the 360 for a while I believe. It isnt a deal breaker but as the Wii U has shown it can be incredibly useful especially when you can use your old accessories. It saved me money and made playing some newer games more fun.
But if its the same game with a slightly new coat of paint and just different stages and they are charging full price for it? Isnt that reason to fault it? THe Wii U is a great system that adds its own extra features into games, such as Miiverse and remote play, which trust me are both great. Besides that it had one of the best console launches in history and has plenty of good titles on the horizon. Free online services and the eshop works great. Its a start but right now, just going off of that video, it was more annoying and unnatural than anything else.
Thats what ive been saying for a while now. People were expecting Avatar in 1080p in 3d or something. So far all I see is PC visuals, which werent very far ahead of the best consoles are already offering. well probably see more 1080p games but most of those will probably be 30fps.

ahh I remember when I first bought VP on PS1 and man did I fall in love. Incredible battle system, beautiful opening cinematic, some of the best damn music I ever heard and great characters. Square completely sold FF7 just off of CGI if I recall. Nothing wrong with it imo, it does help to build hype for games. At least it does for me. But to each his or her own

If it was optimized for WIi U I doubt it would look or run as good on the PS360 considering the GPU and Memory gap alone. Chances are it was built around the 360 and will just be ported up to the Wii U, PC, PS4. Kind of like the PS2 GC Xbox gaps. Its probably going to be like this for a while also. PS360 isnt going anywhere anytime soon so long as developers can still make money off of them.
the Wii U has alot more power than people give it credit for. The GPU is heavilly customised and as you said has a decent amount of edram. No where near as much ram as the PS4, but enough to grunt to hand visually once developers start getting the hang of it. If anybody can do it though I expect it to be Ubisoft. This time around AC4 will be built with the Wii U in mind and not as a last minute adjustment like AC3 was, which still looked and played great

Looking at the trailer I wasnt super impressed visually. From a feature standpoint im more excited about what theyll do with the Gamepad on the Wii U version, hell it almost seems like the game was designed with that in mind. Myself personally, Ill take gamepad features over improved viauals anyday, unless its just a damn map than nevermind. But on to the article... what was the point of it?
