You have no idea how many times Ive sat with my family in the living room while they watched a movie and I played Call of Duty or something right next to them. That feature is incredible. Remote play out of the box is next gen. An actual operating system that allows you to pause your game and watch youtube or web surf and jump back in like it was nothing is next gen. I think they look kind of identical, I think the lighting looked a little better on the Wii U version but its possible it was just different angles on the capture. Regardless, it has off tv play, so for me personally thats enough to give it the edge. I've already beat the game on the 3ds but it was good enough to warrant another purchase. Like somebody above me said however the lack of variety in enemy types is the biggest fault against the game

Nintendo lost last gen badly, they had the poorest selling console out of the big 3. To come back and dominate as they have is insane. They were the underdog and they prevailed. For all the good games Sony had as exclusives, Nintendo did as well.

Those are good sales, and can you imagine how they will look when Smash and MK8 hit? Those two franchises are huge in Japan and with Hyrule Warriors to add into the mix now Nintendo has alot of ammo to sustain them thru the coming year in Japan. The real battle will be america of course.
