Wario Ware came out on the 28th, so three days of sales for that? DQX came out on the 30th so a day of sales for that? Next week should be bigger. 33k for DQX in a day is pretty damn good. The first full week might be 6 digits which is huge considering the install base is what it is. Its a good thing for Nintendo and SE and us. Maybe well get DQX over here now
I think its a great feature, the 2 in 1 purchase idea. But I think it really hurts the Vita. Had this been exlusive to the Vita it would've made the console more of a contender to the 3ds this year. Releasing it on PS3 as well tho... it shouldve been a Vita exlusive in the east, like how Tales Of Symphonia was a gamecube exclusive in the west
The hardest thing about X was getting all the Ultimate weapons. The game was a cakewalk, especially in the end when you got haste and quick hit. I loved the game, but they practially held your hand thru the whole thing. A step back from the PS1 titles
I know, I shouldn't be surprised. Im just amazed at how blatant it is. The Wii U was flamed for pretty much this same thing but for the PS4 we get a string of excuses and in this case its okay to blame the developer. I wonder if these people are as passionate about actually playing the games as they are about talking about them
So the Wii U has a developer talk about a game being 720p and 30fps to acheive a high level of detail and people are screaming last gen tech, the PS4 gets a game, known for its technology, at 720p and 60fps with a low character count online and its, "oh well the Ram and the developers and so and so," Such double standards here but oh well. 720p or 1080p itll still look good

Hell MH3 Ultimate is 1080p. And thats doing way more than Wipeout. Wasnt ZoE on PS3 like 720p and had a sporatic framerate? And that was a PS2 game. Wii U has plenty of power and this game looks amazing already. If it looks like it does now on the Wii U than it will be the best looking racer on the market when it releases.
Of course its going to be way stronger than the PS3 its been damn near seven years. Its not as impressive as the PS3 was tho. Itll still be a great console no doubt, but as far as what each console brought to the table the PS3 did more with Blu Ray alone.
Very VERY well said, but of course saying that in here is asking for trouble. You are right on every point tho. PS3 was a way bigger leap over the PS2 than the PS4 is over the PS3. The PS4 seems like more of an expansion than anything. And like you said nobody is talking about the cpu and gpu of this thing, just the ram as if thats what makes games look as good as they do. It helps of course, but its not as important as the brains of the thing.

Doesnt nintendo get roasted for releasing "the same game over and over?" Why do people care so much what reviewers think? If you like the game buy it. Reviewers hated Red Steel but it was my favorite fps last gen. If ign or whoever doesnt agree with you on the score who cares? Are you enjoying it any less? The industry (fans included) are a screwy bunch. Its okay to complain about everything else until somebody starts complaining about something you like, than its fire and brimstone...
People tend to forget that Nintendo also had their GPU customized. Who knows what features they built into that thing. Powerwise itll be fine in the long run. People said the Wii would never have a game that looked as good as a 360 launch title... it had more than one. Nintendo just needs to pull back the curtain on more of its exclusives. X was a good start but keep the people hopeful
I agree completely. The potential revenue in this is vast. This can push Wii U sales thru the roof with the younger crowd.
Im not a huge sony fan anymore (i love the GO, that this is amazing) but to hope a company that employs thousands goes bankrupt is kinda cruel. Imagine if sony did go bankrupt and the hundreds of stores they have across the world closed down. Their plants closed down. Their offices closed down. All those people and their families without a decent source of income. An already screwy economy is now even more screwy and to add salt to the wound, there is now one less competitor in the game world...
its a million seller on the 3ds, how many of those does the vita have right now? None right? Mot to mention it was a port of the Wii version which had already sold 2 million copies. That was free money for capcom. Why is every gaming platform getting Resident Evil besides Vita?
Picking up steam, but not alot. It outsold the 3ds by 2000 units with one of its biggest titles, while the 3ds had nothing new on the market. Consoles typically sell out at the gate. So pre orders are nothing to get excited about. Its the months after that matters. How well it sells during that first year period will be a better indication of how well the system will do overall. Also gotta remember Sony is going up against Wii U, PS3, 360 and if MS launches this year as well that too. Thats alot of competition for one machine. I had to re read my post to make sure of it but nowhere in there did I bash on the PS4 for not having backwards compatibility. And Wii U is fully backwards compatibile with the Wii. It plays Wii games and uses Wii accesories. Gamecube is two gens behind and the Wii was backwards compatibie with the gamecube. I think what people are failing to see is that NIntendo isn't that worried about whats going on right now. This is a free year for them in the 8th gen. By the time Sony and MS are ready to roll out new platforms Nintendo will have a huge catalog of multiplats and exclusives and will be able to outbundle and outdeal either company.
