I've got to agree about the waving your arms about type of motion control it just didn't do anything for me at all, but the more I see of the 'wands' the more I'm looking forward to seeing and playing some actual games with them.

I would think Naughty Dog as one of the most talented developers around do have the credability to say what can or can't be done on each system. I think the problem is that people just dont want to believe it, but if they open their eyes and actually look at the evidence (the exclusive games available on each platform) it does indeed seem as if Naughty Dog have a point.
You only need to look at PS3 exclusives to see it's pulling further and further away from the 360 with every major release and not just graphically. There is no doubt the 360 can display very good graphics but it comes at a cost, as the size, scale, number of online players and ammount of on-screen action suffers. Paying for on-line gaming access is absolutely absurd, people can list the features of live all they want but when it boils down to it if you want to play games online you have to pay extra for the privilege, I'm sorry but thats not the case on PC, PS3 or Wii so why should it be the case on 360. Deep down even the most ardent of live defenders must realise they have been taken for a ride but I guess pride stops them admitting it to themseleves. Ah well a fool and his money...............
It does look like this could be the complete solution to motion tracking in-game. Having played games like Trials of Topoq where there is no controller involved they tend to feel very simplistic and get boring quite quickly but with having a controller with buttons and feedback plus the depth perception this could be very very interesting indeed.
I'm sooo glad I've got kids. Will be getting this it looks like a lot of fun for young and old alike.
Got to say just it just looks like more of the same, nothing to lift it beyond COD4 from what's been shown so far. Lets recycle that old critisism that every other FPS seems to get leveled at it and ask what are the new gameplay features, what does it do that hasn't been done before ?

Killzone 2 has the best multi player of any FPS by a country mile, so I say bring on Killzone 3.

COD4 was good yes, great no but it did capture the FPS audience probably because it had really good graphics and that pick up and play factor. COD4 was good but very shallow and had no longevity (for me anyway) WaW played exactly the same and didn't do anything new and from what I've seen of MW2 it looks like yet even more of the same.
40% you say, well I'd be interested to know where you got that figure from because I can't recall being asked what the reason was I bought a PS3. I dont doubt that plenty of people did indeed buy one primarily as a Blu-Ray player but unless every owner is asked directly then your 40% figure (wherever it came from) is basically just a figure plucked out of thin air, probally based on a survey of a couple of hundred owners, or in other words totally meaningless.
Got to be honest I haven't played a Naughty Dog game that I didn't enjoy and Uncharted Drakes Fortune is my favourite all time game bar non, and I've been gaming since the Atari 2600 days. Not only have they provided quality consistantly they have kept doing it for over 20 years that is a feat that few studios can match. Long may they continue.
That is your opinion and I respect it, but when you look back at past generations a drop in price at the right time does lead to a significant increase in sales,
1. Price is hard not to know when it is clearly marked in store and on websites.
2. A good percentage of PS3's are bought by older consumers, the very ones who do indeed know the value and features that the system offers.
