But windows comes pre-installed on PC's when you buy them, so if I switched to another OS then it's going to cost me. Even if I can download another OS for free would standard software packages run on them or would I have to buy software designed for the specific OS ?
Thats the problem both Sony and Microsoft face, as unlike the Wii their controllers are not standard with the console and have to be bought seperatally. Every Wii owner however has the motion controls and all games are developed with those in mind, yet Sony and Microsoft have to encourage developers to produce software when only a small percentage of console owners might buy the new controllers. Could be tough !
Got to agree with you there. Natal could get pretty tiresome pretty quickly. Sony and Nintendo's controllers do offer the potential for a lot more control in the game world than Natal. The E3 demo of Natal looked pretty lame to me, kicking footballs around would be fun for about 10 seconds, then there is Milo, when Sony launched home the number of people who screamed that walking round a virtual world talking to other people was boring and lame, then Microsoft go and offer you a fictional boy...
I'll get one, otherwise I'll pass
Theres always one............
I couldn't disagree with you more I'm afarid. Fighting games are about the only game genre which Natal could be used in. FPS shooters would have to be on rails and open world games would be virtually impossible, personally I like to have a controller in my hand and the addition of buttons gives you much more control in the game world. I think Natal will find it a struggle to give you the same level of gaming experience that the Wii-mote and PS3 'waggle sticks' can deliver.
This article made me laugh. Nice to read an intentionally funny article
So what if your not a PC gamer, is there any reason to upgrade from XP ?
I find Firefox 3.5 to be the fastest web browser, Chrome runs it second and Safari beats out IE 8. But more important Firefox just seems to be the most complete browser for me.
300 bucks would buy youa PS3 and save you 300 bucks for the next 10 years
If the Wii sells well now because it is not a direct competitor to PS3 and 360 if it becomes a direct competitor perhaps the Wii wont sell.
Thats a long list. Glad he doesn't do my grocery list.
I got a 60 gig release version of the PS3 so I've got BC but honestly after a couple of months never felt like going back to PS2 games. Not complaining though I think it's great news as a lot of people wanted this feature and the more features the better. Who said you can't please all the people all the time.
He's after a job at Sony. You know what rats do when on a sinking ship !!!!
I dont think it's the tech thats the issue, but how we choose to use it. Kids for example spending too much time gaming or on pc's, thats up to parents to help them regulate their leisure time. Problem is a lot of parents today dont seem to understand their kids need guiding, need some rules and boundaries to help them have a balanced life. Gaming can be good, it's a way of getting rid of stress or just having a laugh and a bit of healthy competition, but parents have to see the signs of it b...
Not in Europe, the Wii launched Nov 06 and the PS3 March 07. Dont know why but the PS3 got delayed in Europe.
I dont think waiting a few seconds for icons to load is much of a problem personally, but each to their own I suppose. While I wouldn't disagree things could be improved that will always be the case, nothing will ever be good enough for everyone. If your biggest gripe is icon load times then XMB can't be too bad.
I too have looked back in fondness to games that felt special, but when I've gone back and actually played them I find the reality doesn't match the memory. My first system was a Binatone with light gun (which still works by the way) but when plugging it, or my trusty old Spectrum in to play pong or Jet Pac again I'm afraid the 'special' feeling is quickly dispelled. Clasics for me are best left in the past and viewed in the sense they were the best in their day, but I'm afraid their day does...
If you read the comment I did state that you have no choice if you want a 360 and wish to play online. If someone owns a 360 they might not have the cash to just buy a PS3 so they either pay up or dont play online. That is why you keep getting articles about XBL v PSN, 360 users have no option but to pay for online play thus feeling the need to justify the XBL price tag with threads about its value. If you want a netbook you have dozens of choices, so if Sony launch a $2000 netbook you can ju...
I didn't actually say they are only doing fighting games, what I said was fighting games was about all it would be any good with in reply to Vagisils comment, so you OBVIOUSLY dont read things in the context in which they are written. And just because someones opinion doesn't match your own why does that make tham a fan boy ?????
A 'fanboy' is someone who bad mouths things solely because they are on the 'other' manufacturers console, simply having the opinion that this piece of tech w...
