Well I'm not a developer or games designer but I know that the PS3 has some of the best looking and most advanced games available, so I guess the 'quirky new CPU architecture and poor GPU' can't be a problem for some developers. As for sales well no doubt a price cut would shift more units but in all honesty sales of over 20 million aren't too bad at this stage of its life cycle. And out the 3 current systems which one do you think will still be around in another 6 years ?

Killzone 2 is easily my fave shooter, COD just cant hold a candle to this baby in graphics, physics, gameplay or multiplayer. I only hope they can push on with Killzone 3 though and not go down the COD4/WaW route of just re-hashing the same game in a different setting.

COD4 took shooters to a new level no doubt about about that, but as always things progress and Killzone 2 for me is the pinnacle of first person shooters. Everything about the game is immense, the graphics and graphical effects are unmatched while the feel of the game is exceptional. Online play is so well balanced that good team work always wins the day, and it has that addictive quality that is rare in games these days. COD4 was good, but after going back to play it recently I turned it off...

Development time doesn't count because this is a list of top five graphical games, pure and simple. Which are the five best graphical games out today. How does development time even come into this, do you judge everything on how long it took to do and not how good it is ? Of course not. You form an opinion over graphics by the graphics themselves if it took a year or four it's irrelevant. I'd much rather have something take longer and be more advanced than quicker thru the door but lacking t...

Gears looks good yes but the game is not as technically advanced as Killzone 2. Whether you enjoyed one more than the other is irrelevant Killzone 2's graphical features are more advanced than Gears. And in a list of graphical games which this was, time frames and development costs and how much profit was made are mute points. Lists of best graphics or best game or best gameplay are always subjective and largely based on peoples opinions but the technicalities of game engines is not subjectiv...

I think Activision have got a point about price cuts........, So how about starting the ball rolling Bobby you gonna cut your prices ? Lets see Activision practise what they preach then just maybe you can give out advice to other companies. I reckon about £10 off the RRP of each title should do for starters. Hardware manufacturers strive to cut production costs to enable them to sell their system as cheap as possible, so why dont developers make reductions in production costs also, once ...

You joking right ?

"Killzone 2 not technically amazing esp. seeing the massive budget 4year dev time gurilla games had.i think the infinity call of duty engine could be more impressive if they made an exclusive on either console with the same timeframe".

What has the time frame got to do with how the game looks and if it aint technically amazing esp then what game tops it from a technical standpoint ? Oh and it's easy to say COD engine could have been bette...

Wow I can't believe some one said Uncharted shouldn't be on the list while a game engine with no games made on it should be included. No doubting though a list like this is always subjective but if you've played Killzone 2 then you gotta admit graphically it is head and shoulders above all other console games. The lighting and effects are just outstanding, particle effects that interact with other on screen objects, smooth animations and real time ray tracing, that is not present in any other...

It's one saying they would use the money they saved on PS3 development to make other games but whether people buy them is another matter. If they did that and found the extra games didn't sell then they just committed financial suicide. Truth be told only a few of Activision games are 'AAA' and take away the guaranteed COD sales from PS3 to risk the 'possible' sales of new games on 360 and Wii thats a gamble. Shareholders might not be too happy with that, and it's shareholders that really dr...

I like the look of this more than Natal, the controller in your hands allows more interaction meaning more complex games, but as touched on in earlier posts because this is an additional peripheral that not all PS3 owners are going to buy how much resources will devs put into it (and same applies to Natal). Wii's success was that the controller was standard with the system therefore devs had to use it. The 'wand' demo at E3 though was brilliant and if that stuff gets put into real games then ...

Sonys controller is open to far more complex and varied game settings due to the fact you have a tangible object in your hands with buttons to allow more complex interaction with the game.

How do you simulate movement through a game world with Natal, turn round to look behind you and go back the way you came ?, how about using a gun do you point your 2 fingers at the screen and shout bang to fire. It looks like mini games in HD coming to the 360.

Oh and if my not having Natal makes my claims invalid then it also makes your point about non existant 'AAA' games pretty dumb. You played em yet ?????

6077d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Use your brain buddy how complex can a game get with no buttons and no means of input other than waving your arms or legs.

Is it just me that's not overly impressed by Natal ? give me the Wii mote or Sony wands anyday, far more varied and complex possibilities with those than Natal (yes even with the Wii mote).

Another COD churned out !, looks like the previous ones will probally play like the previous ones. Afraid COD4 and WaW just didn't compel me to keep playing em. I'll stick with Killzone 2 thanks, it's far superior in every department.

Making more games is one thing, people buying them is another. With the quality games coming out on all systems people are going to be less and less likely to buy those extra games Activision churn out unless they are 'AAA' games. Which means less income for more outlay. And just because he's head guy at a big company dont make him right, look at all the heads of banks in the UK and US they screwed up big time and helped to plunge their countries into a recession through bad management. Bigge...

Wow a gaming site that cares more about games than starting mine vs yours arguments. I will be checking out OXCGN more often thats for sure (and I favour PS3 over 360). Games journalism in general is the most unprofessional and biased there is, so to find a well balanced site like this is good indeed. Respect...
