So whats this game about any one know? Or does every topic have to turn into the same old arguments about PS3/360.
The most amazing thing is someone writes a well balanced review of a game and people end up arguing over which console can do what. If you disagree with the review thats fair enough but whats with the PS3 this and 360 that, the topic was Infamous the game.
Did I miss Alan Wake, didn't realise it has been released yet.
Great game really enjoyed it. Graphically I thought it was very good, only minus point was the pop up but it didn't detract from the game at all so not really a problem. Infamous 2 anyone ?
Just because attach rates are higher for 360 does not automatically mean people will buy the extra games Activision put out for the system, so stating they can easily maximise their resources is easy to say but not quite as easy to pull off. Several publishers have also stated that they make more on PS3 games than on 360 (as a percentage of consoles sold) which is backed up when you view Activisions own figures. These are Activisions own figures to end of Dec 08

If it delivers a good quality picture with no pausing and stuttering then it really would be a good service indeed. The only drawback at the moment is users broadband speeds and monthly download limits, these are going to have to increase substantially to take full advantage of this. Also whats the cost going to be, if it's cheaper to rent a couple of Blu-Rays every month then will it really take off ? Good tech though non the less.
Edit
Just tried the service and found i...
Personally I like the tech analysis, I like to know what the tech behined the picture is doing, but at the same time it don't make a jot of difference either because that looked as good as anything I've ever seen from a game. High quality graphics pared with high quality art direction pared with intriguing game play = Team Ico. Looking forward to this one.
Blu Ray take up has been really quite good up to now even without PS3, I dont know why these articles continue to crop up. As for streaming High Def movies, not until the broadband speeds and monthly downloads limits increase massively (in the UK anyway) plus how many people prefer to own hard copies of films and games, I know I do and I'm sure many others do to. Watching a movie on a 40" screen compared to a 19" monitor is another benefit of Blu-Ray players. I know you can transfer...
Loved the first Uncharted, nice to see the graphics have got even better (even though they were already pretty special). Must say I didn't think Uncharted needed Multiplayer so it's going to be interesting how that pans out, not knocking it by way I enjoy playing online. Naughty Dog really do know how to make great games and I dont see this being anything other than an outstanding title.
I liked your comments
"Since I used interrogative sentences i assumed that people would understand that the paragraph was a question."
and
"Maybe if you didn't paraphrase my comments to fit within the constructs of your own preconceived determination of my "fanboyism"; you would have noted my chief complaint/question was why was PS3centric news in in the 360 area" ..........this is N4G I dont think too many people would get that if I'm being hon...
Personally I think PSN is superb, I especially like the PS1 classics and some of the network games have been realy great fun. The Vidzone app that launched recently is also very very good indeed along with Home and the content for a lot of PS3 games there is something for everyone.
If you feel that way then why bother commenting at all. Plus if you are interested in news about tech and the industry then you must be open to Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo products not just things relevant to 360, cos to me you sound like one of those 'fanboys' you seem to be so unkeen on.
Both are great services but the fact you have to pay to use live is a big big minus in my book, and it aint because I'm cheap either I started gaming on PC and free online play is a given, but now consoles have fantastic games that match PC games (I know top end graphics, 16*AA and frame rates and all that) I'm now a confirmed console gamer. One thing that does surprise me though is the file size limit on Live, especially as Microsoft were saying digital downloads negate the need for a next g...
Does anyone really take Metacritic scores into account because so much of whether a game is good or not is subjective. I like reviews to tell me about the game itself, sticking to facts. I really don't understand why people want a score out of 10 or 5 or whatever, afterall one mans 10 is another mans 7.
30fps is ok for a lot of games but you can easily see that 60fps is a lot more fluid and smoother. I think this type of game really benefits from 60fps.
Well said. Have a bubble
If the game your playing is 'online' then it pauses downloads, if your not playing online the downloads carry on in the background. Is this really a problem ?
I've gotta admit I'm a PS3 lover but I check out this site regulary, they offer up unbiased views on 360 and PS3 games. And in a world of unproffessionalism and childish rantings they put a lot of people to shame. Perhaps more 'gamers' should check out this site and give it the support it deserves.
I would sure welcome LBP 2 not sure how you could do a sequel to that but there you go. Whatever Media Molecule is working on though I sure am interested in seeing it. I enjoyed LBP immensely and haven't laughed so much while playing a game since.....well ever, even the wife who normally hates game loves LBP.
multiplat games are never gong to take advantage of Blu-ray, devs simply will not ship versions of games with lots more content on one than the other, if they do then they lose the possible extra income from downloadable content, and if one system's version is 'better' than the other there is a big chance that it wont sell on the other system. One area of advantage for multi plat titles though is that devs dont need to compress as much data as on a DVD9, I know some think that compressing i...
