I wouldn't call 1 out of 10 games potentially having loot boxes "fully committed".
What in the world are you on about? No one is talking about paying for online. No one has ever roasted Nintendo for that.
Were talking about Nintendo selling cardboard.
Yes, selling stuff at insane prices.
Tank Phil Spencer said it himself single player games aren't worth it.
The 4 expansions from Destiny 1 are what stopped me from the moment getting D2.
I was fine buying the game and expansion pass knowing I would get the future content. But then they released 2 more expansions I had to dump money into?
Expansion pass should include all future DLC.
So you're paying $10 a month for their 2 or 3 games they release in a year and you lose the games if you ever stop paying...
Someone doesn't have to literally say "in my opinion" when they are giving their opinion. Clearly he was giving his opinion and it isn't some statement of fact.
I said "free as part of the subscription". That isn't hard to understand. Again, play your little word games all you want.
I'm sorry you still can't understand how stores could harm Microsoft more easily than they could Netflix. Stores are going to pull every SmartTV, Roku, Chromecast, FireTV stick and every other streaming device that supports hundreds of other apps... just to get at Netflix? You realize how stupid that is? Of course you don'...
Microsoft is including all their first party games for free in the future, don't play dumb... you know exactly what I'm talking about.
The stores do have leverage. If GameStop stopped selling Xbox for example, it would be a huge blow to Microsoft. [Yes, I know GameStop hasn't done that, but it is an example]. There is no denying it or you are delusional.
Sony is giving away brand new games for free as part of a subscription? No, I don't think so. It isn't the same thing.
I'm not making any predictions. I explained why this store did it. GameStop threatened to do the same previously if Microsoft went with their original plans.
GamePass is the same as Netflix essentially, you're right. But the difference is Microsoft is both the dedicated hardware maker and the software maker. Stores c...
Right, and what does this have to do with Steam? I wasn't aware Steam offered a monthly subscription for access to games.
Zig this isn't hard to understand. Microsoft is pushing towards digital, this is going to make stores push the other consoles instead. They make a majority of their money from software sales and Microsoft is eating into that with this.
What is potentially good for the consumer can be bad for these stores.
Just because they changed scenery doesn't mean it is a downgrade.
I don't think the phone comparison is a good one. First of all most phone games are not that resource intensive, so they are easy to run on older hardware. Then there are games that will run, but they are very sluggish. That isn't going to work with console games.
Ya, Steam has competition from a competitor that no one has ever heard of and isn't even out yet.
There are a lot of downgrades, but still one of the best looking games we've seen this Gen.
Sorry you're brains can't understand what I'm saying. They are the same because they both offer games based on a subscription. Phil Spencer even made the comparison himself in this very interview. They are different in how the games are delivered, streamed VS downloaded.
Get it?
Sorry, but while it is different... the services are the same thing. The delivery mechanism is different, but you're still just renting games. Sony's library is 5 times as large, but Microsoft is now including brand new games.
I really dislike when companies say they will be using all the power. Yes, most games do... but it doesn't mean you are using it right.
You can beat the game in under 5 hours, platinum in less than 8. That is a terrible length for a $60 game you won't replay.
