CDPR while great at what they do, they aren't experts in all the different types of genres needed for a huge franchise. And that's the problem here, only like EA and Activision can potentially handle all those things if they have to stick to a single publisher.
Like others have said, it would be best to not have some exclusive contract with a single company.
You may be right that it was always the rule and that he can still get his stuff back.
But I don't agree a company could change TOS, causing your already existing account to be bannable and you lose everything you paid for. If he had no way to adjust his account to align with the no rules... he would have a lawsuit against them if they didn't have some workaround.
If his name violated the code of conduct from 8 years ago, then I don't see an issue. If they changed their code of conduct some point after, he could maybe do something about it.
No downside? When has Microsoft ever bought some gaming related thing and actually improved upon it? They would ruin it.
Minecraft is successful for many reasons including the freedom to do a lot of things and be creative.
Fortnite is riding high off of the battle royale and receiving constant updates.
We've seen no reason that SoT will be like either of those. There's not much you can do from what anyone as seen.
Cosmetic MTs that have no game-play effect is completely acceptable to me. Better to let morons spend their money on that stuff than to charge $80 for a base game.
This thing needs a serious price drop. Why won't they do it? Been 200 for 4.5 years. I'd get one at $100.
Foraoise it is unrealistic. All games in 1080p/60fps means it has to be as powerful as a PS4 Pro. Plus add a 1080p screen. Compact into portable.
Not cheap at all.
To everyone saying this is an option and just turn it off.... just stop.
The feature isn't even supposed to download things really. It says it will "automatically download links".
It has never completely downloaded full games that you don't own because it may interest you. That is beyond ridiculous.
I'd take a regular console version with a Pro controller. No screen, no dock, no JoyCons. $200, I'd probably buy it.
Are we really comparing mobile graphics to console graphics? Is this going to become a thing?
I won't ever play, but I've always said this is the right way to do it. It gives no advantage and there's no content locked behind it. Pure cosmetics is okay with me for people to blow money on and help these developers recoup their costs.
Woman gives up journalism career to show off cleavage to gamers... the opposite of hard work pays off.
Uncharted 3 was in 2011. UC4 in 2016. Legacy is DLC that they sold standalone at a reduced priced.
Yes, they did milk R&C. I said they don't milk them all, not they they never do.
Sony doesn't milk all their games. Many big franchises will only see 1 or 2 games in a generation.
What the what
Guess I should have read the whole article. Restricting Destiny 2 access to only those who owned the game could make sense. But, blocking access to those other forums certainly doesn't.
While it looks bad that they are doing this all of a sudden, it kind of makes sense and they should have done it from the beginning.
Otto, if you read the article... you'd have read that $2 billion of that revenue came from mobile, so you're wrong about people wising up to spending on mobile gamss.
PS4 had 8 times the flops as PS3, so 16 TFLOPS isn't that far fetched. Prices will be down in 2 years.
