Steam users pay to pay online whether you all want to admit it or not. Valve takes 30% of each sale which is insanely high. That's where you're paying for it. That's how they maintain their servers.
The recommendations are just completely unreasonable.
- No longer required for online
- 3 PS4 games
- 3 PS5 games including 1 AAA, 1 brand new indie and 1 remaster
- access to some PSNow games
- games exclusive to Plus
Ibguarantee none of these will happen. We'll likely get 2 PS4 games and 2 PS5.
Ya, Sony was crapping their pants over this.
Their agreement (to get a review copy) required they finish the game before giving it a score. They could not finish the game due to boredom before their print deadline. There is still supposedly a 4 page "preview" but no "score" because of the requirement.
You're reaching man.
@ultra
Your Souls example is a different situation. The difficulty is the whole point of those games. That's different than boredom.
Those crap games don't take 20+ hours to finish. They couldn't bear it an longer.
To all you who keep saying they need to do their job... they did. They're basically telling you the game is too boring to finish, that's their opinion on the game. They can't release a "score" due to Kojima requirements.
This is the same critique that all sites are giving with lower scores. I've even read sites giving the game a perfect 10 say the same thing about the beginning of the game.
Last expansion was their fastest selling ever. The game still has more subscribers than all others.
They aren't going to abandon it.
@thundercat77
I'm not saying that to Hideo. I'm saying that to the guy who said it. I have no clue if this game is like that. It is beyond stupid that a 30 hor game would take 15 hours to get going. That applies to any medium (books, TV, movie). Having to get through 50% of it before it picks up is embarrassing.
Please tell me of existing great games in history that are like that?
With that said... if it is true about this...
If you have to play 10 to 15 hours for the game to pick up, that is just stupid design. That isn't a lack of patience.
Right. Does the player own their jersey number? Doubtful.
Just create the teams and real numbers and stats. Randomness the look of each player.
@xnx
There's no standards for reviewing. I mean just think about what you said... if the game isn't broken it deserves a 5 minimum? Doesn't seem right. Why can't a game get a 3 just because it is stupid, terrible and not fun? I'm not saying DS is... but I think you u can give a 3 to a working game.
EA Access is much improved at this point as the article points out and the install base is many times larger.... common sense folks.
Wow you seem so matter of fact about his "opinion" being wrong (which literally makes no sense). Metacritic has NV at 84 and Outer Worlds is currently at 82 for PC. So, you can have your opinion but don't be a prick.
My favorite is when you close the door, but your companions open it up to follow. So then you have to learn to go far enough into the room for them to follow and then close the door.
With enough dialog points, you can easily talk your way out of getting caught the first time without any rep loss.
An open world RPG has quests? OMG
They're just asking.
Remember the doom and gloom about Tretton leaving. Then the same doom and gloom about this replacement leaving.
