Pixelift, please don't get your health advice from Trump. There's no evidence to suggest this new virus will or will not be affected by warm temperatures. Furthermore, even if it does help kill it... it very well could come back in the colder seasons just like the flu. We have no evidence either way.
That's terrible logic because PS5 news is being purposefully held back as it is going to be a big event and the console won't be out until the end of the year.
For an existing system we should have some idea of what games are coming in the current year.

Many games at the beginning of current gen offered a PS3 to PS4 or 360 to X1 upgrade for free (some companies charged a small fee). This isn't something new. It applying to all first party titles is something new.

Dear god. All this based on rumors. Can't even gets the facts straight. "Sony usually finalizes a price by February of launch year... this time around Sony remains silent." We didn't know the PS4 price until June. But no, they're afraid of Microsoft.
It goes way beyond low trade-in values. Them opening up games and then selling them as new is one of the stupid things they do. Trying to sell used games for only a $5 discount is bogus. When new consoles come out and are in limited supply, they force people to buy bundles with several games.
I'm sure I'll get down voted for this. But why do people act so helpless? If you think you were fired for reporting sexual harassment, get a lawyer. No one could have forced her to sign documents that she couldn't read.

Let me preface by saying I'm not saying this did or did not have an effect, but this article literally makes no sense in their analysis. The financials dropped. Their argument is "well it dropped in previous quarters as well". Which is true, but that isn't proof of anything. You can't rule out what affect this controversy had.
I really don't think selling PS4 consoles is their top priority anymore. At this point, they want as many people buying the PS5 at launch and during the holidays. Most people buying a PS4 right now, likely aren't going to get a PS5 this year.
KillBill Microsoft is giving GamePass away like candy. Market numbers don't prove it is better or people like it more.
