You do understand that a larger variety of games means you are going to hit a much larger group of users right? You aren't that stupid are you?
A couple terrible reasons in there.
Releasing a minimal amount of games is genius? Wow. Maybe they should have just released it with Zelda. Then in 3 months a 2nd game. Genius!!!
It is dead simple? Compared to what? Compared to any other console or handheld device that has EVER released... it is the least simple of anything.
People bought a PS4 knowing full well Sony's first party studios would put out the best games. Don't say exclusives don't matter, that's beyond ridiculous.
Wrong not 100% compatible. MS has already said that Scorpio will have exclusive VR games.
MS has already said that VR games will be Scorpio exclusive. As for other games, yes they have said it, but what has MS done to earn that must trust?
Many reasons.
- Exclusives are the #1 reason to pick one console over the over. Sony gets a chunk of sales for any game, so they wouldn't want to sacrifice any potential console sales.
- Focusing on a single system where all the specs are set in stone allows for the most optimization. Saves development time.

I'm not a huge Nintendo fan. I've already expressed my major disappointment with what we know now about the Switch. But we shouldn't bash the online thing since we don't know the details. I don't have high hopes for it, but I won't hate for no reason.
You're going off minimal details. We don't know that the phone app is required for those things. It could be a companion app just like PS4 offers.
Yes, that is Nintendo's fault for not telling us. But they did tell us it isn't ready yet.
Most of the hate is unfounded simply because we don't have any details, including the cost.
With that said, if they think they can charge the same as Live and Plus and only offer an NES/SNES game to play for a month only... that surely won't fly.
