Unless there's a boatload of games they didn't communicate to us.... I don't see it as a lack of communication.
5 launch games... 5
http://www.mariowiki.com/Ma...
This has a good summary.
You can get most games for $30-$40 (except Nintendo) just a few months after release. So, the reasoning (wanting to reach as many people as possible) doesn't exactly make much sense.
I thought I was in the same boat. I was going to get it just for Zelda alone at launch and the exclusives the rest of the gen. But 5 games only and no new Mario until the end of the year. I changed my mind. I'll wait until I get some kind of a sale.
It does have new Battle Mode arenas.
Right. 5 total games. There's no amnesia here, this is the smallest lineup in recent history and it isn't even close.
Because your local store is sold out that means they are sold out everywhere? Logic.
Game changing? Come on. The Zelda examples are just stupid. Holding your shield up too long will make the controller heavier? I didn't didn't the controller could change mass. Harder hits could have different levels of rumble? Sure, but that isn't a new feature... Sony already does that.
$250 price was the biggest to me.
It isn't just exclusives. Switch has literally 5 total games one of which has been out for the Wii for a long time.
BREAKINGS NEWS! Head of Xbox says positive things about exclusive games!
You can call it taking chances. You can also call it bad decisions.
I'm not sure why you all find this so hard to believe. It isn't uncommon for older generation models to last year's after next-gen starts.
I know you have WiiU as an example other wise, but that was a colossal failure.
Why compare the price to another extremely overpriced item?
You've really been embarrassing yourself today. We all know that Zelda and Mario games will be good.
But there's hardly anything else. That's the problem. Third party devs aren't going to line up to put out AAA titles for this underpowered machine.
This article makes no god damn sense. It fully acknowledges this system will have physical media.
"That may sound like an argument against the Switch moving toward a download-only future, but this console could also be an opportunity for Nintendo to clear the deck of its mistakes and start with a new, responsible approach to online interactions and digital rights management."
Clear the deck of what mistakes (related to physical or digital media...
Oh wow gorgeous box art, let me just forget about all the other bad things from last night.
Sorry a Zelda release date (which everyone and their mother already knew) and some new footage didn't save that disaster of a show.
This has been a complete turnoff to me.
I don't think PS4 is still on track to beat the PS2.
PS2 hit 50 million in January 2003 (released in March 2000). Just under 3 years.
PS4 hit 50 million in December 2016 (released in November 2013). Just over 3 years.
Plus as this article points out, PS4 is slowing down. PS2 was over 20 million in years 3 and 4. PS4 barely broke 11 million last year.
