Unfortunately people just don't see it cliffbo, they are blinded by the big numbers, it confuses people and turns them into zombies that just take the headlines as gospel.
But, as you say, it is simple Playstation 3 is performing and selling BETTER than the Xbox 360 over the same period. THATS IT, ITS THAT SIMPLE.
Well done for xbox 360 being ahead of the PS3 with a 1 year head start in the US and a 1.5 year head start in other regions and being half the price. Jolly well done....
True, but deep down I dont think anybody cares tooo much about the score, its just nice to see it get 5/5. I know even if this game got 2/5 across all sites i'd still be picking it up day one.
I do believe this is REVIEW code, as there was an article on Neogaf where somebody posted photos of the review code pack they received just before christmas. However I also thought there was an embargo until end of Jan but if its Official PS mag than I guess its fine :)
I agree it wasn't fantastic, but, it was worth a play through, the nectar experience added a different element to it. When the reviews started coming out I was tempted to not buy, but, glad I did. It was fun.
And i'm not saying its not their fault, of course its free radicals fault Haze wasn't the best but I'm pretty sure the low performance of one game didn't kill them off, surely a company doesn't put all their eggs in one basket like that

leon is right, I expect this game to be incredible, we know the graphics are the best yet, we know (based on beta players and previews) that the game plays very well and is addictive and meaty, yet, we also know when it comes to reviews the game will lose points for things such as 'nothing new here' take off 2 points (Cod4 anyone..great game, but nothing new), then there will be 'dark colours' lose a point.

I think some sequels are win win, eg uncharted, that WILL be good, but I think you can also use a title too much bringing out game upon game with nothing really new
new IP's are always welcome, I think Sony are doing well with doing just that, we infamous, demon souls, heavy rain, quantam theory, mag, wardevil + psn titles. Ok, so they may not all turn out to be good but at least they're bringing something new to the table

and I know haze got slated, but I liked it, ok it wasn't a 9/10 or anything but it was far better than the 4's it was getting. I for one would be interested in seeing a sequel

It will be a long while (if ever) before downloads kill anything. Has music downloads killed the CD? no. People like to have something tangible for their money, whilst I will download somethings, such as PSN 'mini' games, I would never buy a downloadable movie, I like to have the disc and box thanks. I have itunes, but i still buy a CD and just burn it to itunes, there isn't enough value in downloading. Give me a new release HD film, in full 1080p HD and DTS-MA original soundtrack, legall...
