It's not so much the fact that he is saying it is overhyped that bothers people, it's the blatent lies. Saying the frame rate dropped to 5-10fps is complete baloney.

This is incredible, really do these bloggers have no shame, do they know they sound stupid and that the rubbish they have written is on the internet? why the hate for god of war, saying things that really are not true.

I fell for that one too, I loved previous GTA games, read the reviews and was assured that the new GTA was the best game ever bla bla, bought it, yep, sold that within a week or so. That's why demo's are so important, at least you get to try it before you take the plunge (but then you miss out on pre-order incentives..) darn those marketing people are clever :)

The exclusive DLC didn't work that well for GTA did it? I don't think that system works, because by the time the DLC is released there are better/newer games out. Now i'm not sure what following BFBC has from 360 fans, but in my opinion BFBC is better, so what if everyone ditches MW2 for BFBC time? again, Msft paying for exclusive DLC (first) but not actually making it work that well

I admire the media'a commitment to bashing Sony though, I mean it must be quite hard to keep launching article after article about the latest Sony product or idea failing - only to be proven wrong.
I'm not speaking for everyone, just me.
I got into MW2 don't get me wrong, but it just turned into camp fest and running as fast as possible around the map, wasn't really any battle gameplay. Then, you compare it to BFBC, large maps, vehicles with weapons, destruction, it just made so much more entertaining gameplay for me. There was a short learning curve, but as soon as you realise you have to think a little bit and work as a team, you get the most satisfying results.
Interesting, I seem to remember a similar trend of stories.....PS3 will flop...Blu-Ray will flop...home will flop...
MW2 was replaced as soon as the BFBC beta hit for me, sold.
Tried it, thought it was rubbish.
I don't get why so many are addicted to MW2, it was just a MW re-hash and was so limited in it's play. I'm not the greatest fan of MAG yet, but c'mon, the graphics are good, pretty sure they are as good as MW2. Just drop the MW comparisons, it's not THAT good.
I think reviews are a good 'guide' but nobody can judge better than yourself.
For example, Uncharted 2 gets a 96/100 and so does halo:odst - so, based on the reviews, are they REALLY as good as each other...?
360 fans keep saying that it could be done on 360, and 360 can do this and that - yet i'm still waiting to see a game which even rivals the graphics of Uncharted 1, let alone killzone 2, uncharted 2 etc....
Progressive downloading is to do with GT TV, so I would say it means you can watch a TV episode whilst that same episode is downloading, could call it streaming (but you are downloading at the same time)
It was not released as a demo of the game, it was created especially and specifically for the first stage of GT academy, that is all.
That said and compression etc in mind, I still think it was an excellent sampler, not that I'm good enough to win the competition but it was great fun trying to trim the time down
