This is one of Sony's strongest points, they have fantastic 1st party devs, and regardless of what anybody says - you will get the best games and the best results from a 1st party dev working solely on the strengths of said machine.
KZ2 is over a year old now, and it still stands (imo) as the best looking and most enjoyable FPS experience (ok, so bfbc2 is creeping up on me!)
Uncharted, even the first game, still looks incredible and that is a good 2 years+ old now

And this is where Sony are again ready, blu-ray was a good move and making the ps3 future proof seems to be paying off - i'm guessing we'll be seeing a sky + sony ps3 3D partnership

Limitation was one potential reason, thrown in the mix for discussion.
I know other games have fit, but we don't know ho big crackdown is, or how big the missing mode is, how much the graphics/textures have improved or if they are better than fallout... it's just a discussion point
I actually strongly believe this will come out for PC.
I think Microsoft are trying to use it as a system seller by making it a 'true exclusive' so people HAVE to buy a 360 to play this game, they have seen how powerful good exclusives can be for other systems
and then, later down the line they'll play the 'oh we listened to our fans and are happy to announce the rebirth of the PC version'
Limitation of dvd?
Lets hope they use the PS3 to it's potential and not keep it the same as the 360 version just to keep people happy.

I just watched the whole halo vidoc thing with reach gameplay. if your a halo fan, i can see your excitement - they do a great job of hyping up the game, new engine, new characters etc etc, there is no doubt in my mind this will sell millions and millions.
But, do yourselves a favour and do not try and compare it to some ps3 exclusives, even though this is a new engine, and the development cycle for 360 is further in it's life than ps3, reach does not match up to even killzone...
As usual, the same kind of people who complain about free stuff on psn. spoilt people who feel something for free still isn't enough.

I think Sony let the franchises go because they know they have a stack of 1st party devs, who can deliver better games than most multiplat devs/agreements. It's no real loss for them at this stage
BFBC2 is waaaay better than MW2. Granted if you like running around a small map, no vehicles no destruction then fine, but I have had more fun in a demo than I did owning MW2
munky, my mind is not set on anything, I have an interest in all games regardless of console, I just use comparisons to judge how good graphics are and to me, I have seen better

Again, I know the gameplay for halo is suppose to be second to none, but I still don't see the excitement for the graphics....
I guess it partially depends on what you are used to
Having played the likes of UC2, KZ2, Infamous etc these screens don't impress that much - also it's about movement, what is happening in the environment - it's nice running around in a good looking environment,but is it a living environment? I don't know the answer, I'm just thinking out loud...
Looks like a good story (very silent hill), and good atmosphere - not sure why all the excitement for the graphics though
It is just a rumour at the moment - but, again, whilst it's a great score there is no consistency in the negative.
as people have mentioned, GTA core gameplay never changes, driving games core gameplay never changes, COD gameplay never changes..etc etc...
I appreciate what you are saying pennywise, but I STILL do not see the need for cross game chat, why do I want to talk to someone playing a different game?
