the reason he says US only, is because he knows that is the only region that there is any chance that it will happen.
my prediction, ps3 will outsell 360 in japan for 2010.

The more I see this, the more I find it hilarious. I appreciate everyone has different tastes and views etc, but I just cannot see why anyone would do this, really.
The problem is this. 360 owners have been waiting for this game for years, it's been hyped with the videos years ago, so they really want it to be amazing and the next big thing - but, truth is, yes it looks nice and i'm sure plays well, but in my opinion from what I have seen, it is nothing spectacular, the graphics fall short of many other games already released today and the gameplay as far as I can tell from the small amount shown doesn't do anything new
so i'm not saying it...
I also mentioned the GT5 date because in OPM this month in their big GT5 article they say 'expect a UK release in September'
Isn't their a resistance movie coming out? if so, makes sense to release the 3rd game with that - which is another reason why I was thinking KZ3 this year, R3 early/mid next...

You know it's coming to PC. Of course it is, this is just microsoft trying to make it a big proper exclusive, in addition to try and get pc only owners to buy an xbox for this game - it will come to PC, once msft feel the xbox has gained all it can from AW being a exclusive

but developers have already said that you just have to develop a different way, using the spu's. I'm not technical by any means, but it's been said and shown and proven, that when using the spu's etc high res textures are not an issue, look at Uncharted 2, no loading between levels and some of he best graphics this gen so far
Sony are ahead of the game, they have alot of experience in this industry and have done it time and time again. They bought out the 'expensive' ps3 wih blu-ray, everyone hated on it and said it wasn't needed bla bla bla, and now, it's needed. And as game developers push consoles even more with higher res textures etc, the data required will only get bigger.

I find it so funny that even now, with epic games on the shelf, forthcoming exclusives that are second to none, outselling 360 worldwide and more and more additions such as 3D on the way - failed journalists still try to publish ps3/wand/future is doomed articles
It's like it makes them feel better, they feel content that they have shared their dreams with the world
All this time, and to me what I have seen so far just doesn't impress - If I knew nothing about alan wake and somebody showed me the vid, it could be alone in the dark or another survival horror - it doesn't even look that much different - yes nice lighting effects but nothing that hasn't been done before i'm sure - only my opinion as I know there are alot of fans out there
Agreed, game quality aside, msft have done well to create a brand name that will sell, regardless of quality (not saying there is no quality, as it's not out yet)
