I always had more fun in GTA BECAUSE of the realism. I found messing around in the open world much more satisfying with GTA’s better physics and driving, especially GTA IV.

I don’t understand your point. Every game on Game Pass can be purchased without the need to subscribe to Game Pass. “What has a non GP Xbox gamer had to play”? The exact same games as a GP member. They’d just be spending a lot more money.
The reason GP is promoted as if every Xbox gamer has GP, is because it’s such an incredibly good deal that it would be insane not to have it. Even in a slow year like this, the value proposition is very high with all the third party games ...

You conveniently ignored review scores. No Gran Turismo game has scored 90+ on Metacritic in over 20 years, since the PS2!! That’s before Forza even existed. Seven Forza games have scored 90+, as recently as last year. The truth is Gran Turismo has long been surpassed by Forza quality-wise.
Can’t hurt to try it on Game Pass. For me, Bethesda is one of those rare studios whose games are a day one purchase no matter what. Only Rockstar and Naughty Dog are on that same level for me.
