That lie… that monstrous lie…
No. You’re thinking of standby mode which consumes more energy than PS5’s rest mode. Quick Resume, however, does not require your console to be in standby. You can use energy saver or even completely unplug the console and Quick Resume will still work.
Didn’t they mask loading screens with long elevator rides in previous Dead Space games?
This game came out in 2019 on PS4, before Days Gone.
The only way we will get games as ambitious and polished as RDR, GTA, or TLOU is with crunch. A lot of developers are very passionate about their projects and will gladly put in the extra hours to perfect their games. The crunch culture of studios like Rockstar and Naughty Dog is what puts their games in a league of their own.
Quick Resume works on energy saver mode, so… no, it doesn’t have to use more electricity.
“It sold around half the number of copies that Saints Row managed when it debuted at No.1 last week.”
Interesting. Considering 55% of Saints Row sales were on PS5, TLOU sold about on par with Saints Row. But will it see such a big drop in sales in its second week?
I still use GameFly to rent most new releases. Yes, GameFly still exists. And they have a new feature called Game Lock which guarantees you a new release as long as you put it in your queue a few weeks ahead of time. They shipped me Saints Row yesterday so I should get it by release day.
They also have another new feature called “self return” which lets you tell GameFly you shipped a game back before they receive it and they send you your next game right away. As long as th...
These simulators are always European.
Still a much lower barrier to access than an expensive gaming rig.
You complain about “actual first party games” from Microsoft, but when challenged you go on to list all third party games for Sony. Even Returnal was third party at launch, with Sony acquiring Housemarque later on.
Microsoft is focusing on Game Pass because that’s where the money is. Same with Sony playing catch up with their new PS Plus tiers. These subscription services rely on a much larger first party output, which is the catalyst for all of Microsoft’s recent, massive ...
Finally? Didn’t the game just come out a week ago?
Missed opportunities
At least. Starfield is 2023. Elder Scrolls is next. 2025 at the very, very earliest. Probably 2026-2027. Then another 3 years for Fallout 5? I miss the days of reasonable development cycles. When big games like GTA and TES didn’t take a decade to make.
Or “FB’s” in the new censored Saints Row.
I thought the graphics were very good. Excellent lighting (ray tracing?) and very detailed environments with a nice art style.
No, it must be propaganda. All of it. Surely…
I always had more fun in GTA BECAUSE of the realism. I found messing around in the open world much more satisfying with GTA’s better physics and driving, especially GTA IV.
Depends on what you are arguing. Sales measure popularity and Metacritic measures quality.
Honesty, these kinds of unique games get me far more excited than the big AAA games that all follow the same formula these days.
