Because every few months when official numbers come out from Microsoft and Sony, they have to adjust the 360 numbers up because they are always undertracking them.
Why? Do you believe that only 360 owners enjoy FPS games as some would suggest in a negative light? The COD titles are the PS3's best-selling games as well...
Okay, I know that was just a joke (and a poor one at that), but people really don't understand this disc space issue.
When will people learn that the amount of disc space a game takes is not always related to the amount of content in the game? Uncharted 3 is a linear game with an average 9-10 hour length and it weighs in at 45GB. Skyrim is a gigantic open world game with hundreds of hours of content and the 360 version is under 4GB in size. Just Cause 2 has by far one of ...
The latter hardly seems like a MAJOR announcement.
You are about 13 years late. The clock on the GTA 2 website has been going since 1999, and it is always set to a few weeks ahead. If you notice, it's not actually a countdown. It just shows the current date and time, along with the date and time of 3 weeks in the future. The second date will always be three weeks ahead of the current date. GTA 2 was supposed to take place an unspecified amount of time in the future.
Or gamers who want a convenient place where they can see a large numbers of reviews for each game to help them decide on a purchase. Each score is accompanied by a quote from the review and a link if you want to read the full review and not just look at the score. What is so wrong with Metacritic?
The highest rated game of the last decade is Rockstar's "bad game"? Wow, they must be godlike developers then!
The whole Rockstar bigfoot mystery was sort of put to rest in RDR: Undead Nightmare with the Sasquatches, and the achievement you receive for killing all of them; "Six Years in the Making" (6 years since GTA: San Andreas' release).
Aw, I'm sure you'll trust reviews again when they tell you what you want to hear.
And surely, smashcrashbash, you have actually played all these Kinect games to know they are "crap"?
It's a shame your list only includes titles on both XBLA and PSN, because that leaves out many fantastic titles like Trials Evolution, Trials HD, Fez, Shadow Complex, Super Meat Boy, Journey, Splosion Man, and Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2.
If "The Last of Us" was not his type of game, then why do you think he would suddenly be interested in it if it were on the 360?
I cannot wait to play this on my Xbox 360!!
Brosy's comment is a great one. The hardcore PS3 fanboys of N4G could not figure out if they should agree or disagree with it. He bashed Microsoft and Kinect so their arrows darted to the Agree button right off the bat, but then they read the second part, with him vowing to never play a Sony console, and were torn with what to do. 20 agrees and 20 disagrees, LOL.
Metacritic may not have the perfect system in place, but it is certainly better than including scores from every no-name blog under the sun that can't even use proper grammar in their articles. At least you know the sites you see listed on Metacritic are reputable.
Not including the Team Bondi developed L.A. Noire, Red Dead Redemption was Rockstar's most recent open world game. Open world games are Rockstar's specialty and where they really shine. So how can one truly say they have hit a peak? Wait until GTA V and only then shall we see the true state of Rockstar Games.
For the record, GTA IV and RDR are by far my two favorite games of this gen, so I have VERY high expectations.
Of course there will be many more vehicles. Notice there aren't even any police cars on the list. This is only a partial list.
When it comes to the best game lineup each year, it seems to be back and forth between the 360 and PS3. The PS3 had a better 2009, the 360 had a better 2010, the PS3 had a better 2011, and the 360 looks to have a better 2012.
The lineup has been crazy so far this year. Right now I'm addicted to Minecraft, but once I finally tire of it, I still have to go back to finish Trials Evolution (*shudder*) and The Witcher II. I enjoyed the hell out of Fez - it was a nice, original...
I know of no game more deserving of a 10 this gen than GTA IV.
Some may argue that a Spring 2013 release may seem likely for GTA V. While it's true that all of Rockstar's recent big games have released in the Spring, it's also true that most of them were delayed. GTA IV was originally scheduled for an October 2007 release. Red Dead Redemption was slated for Fall 2009. L.A. Noire was expected to launch in Fall 2010. So they were still targeting the traditional fall release window, but the games kept getting pushed back. The same could happen f...
