I’d love to play the game, but there isn’t a proper physical release out, and I’m not interested in the digital release.
If this game was a live-service game I wouldn’t even consider getting it …
The game scored mediocre reviews and, as such, had disappointing sales. Which is how it should be. If they had made a must-have, must-play 90+ game, it probably would have been a much bigger commercial hit.
Just yesterday, a Kingdom Come 2 announcement went out saying it had already sold 1 million copies. I don’t believe that’s a live-service game. I also don’t believe it’s a 90+ ...
Only thing I want from a Battlefield game, is that it’s a Battlefield game. So, give me 10-12 medium-sized gorgeous fun maps, 2 teams of roughly 24-32 players each, and 5 or 6 flags to conquer. Some vehicles, 4 different classes. Done. That’s it.
I don’t want/need ridiculously big maps. I don’t need 100+ player teams, I don’t want bot-players, I don’t want perks, boosts, streaks, hero-characters, battle royale modes, whatever.
Just give us a cool Battlef...
They ruined this series for me, sadly. Lost all interest.
If they’re doing a Forza Horizon in Japan, and they should, I think they should focus on a different region than Tokyo, because Tokyo lacks the kind of variety you’d want trom a Forza Horizon.
Shikoku Island could be cool, with all the mountains and temples, or Kansai Region between 3-4 cities (Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto and perhaps Nara), but I’m sure all over Japan you’ll find a nice blend of nature, mountains, farmland, and smaller towns and bigger cities. It being a Horizon gam...
Same, I don’t need/want real life locations, players, brands, licenses. Just Give me a whole bunch of gorgeous fictional course in cool locations, a character editor, dynamic weather-system (clouds, lighting, seasons, everything), and that’s it. So Japanese themed, American-themed, Indonesia-themed, African-themed, etc courses.
Same goes for tennis games, volleyball games, basketball games, rally games, racing games, snowboarding games, etc etc. Skip all the ‘real’ athletes...
Makes you wonder if they’ll release a Complete Edition on PS5 …
I honestly felt Tsushima ended perfectly. Jin’s story was told, I don’t really see him as the type who would then abandon his island in order to start roaming other parts of Japan. I feel he’d stay at Tsushima and help rebuild.
I was surprised to see people who felt they should have stuck with Jin for a sequel. I understand people liking Jin, I did as well, but I’m glad a sequel will now bring us a new hero, with a new story.
I love Ghost of Tsushima, but there were plenty of areas where it could have been better, and I think that’s why they have chosen to take Ghost of Yotei into a different era (300 years orso after Tsushima), into a different region, and with a new ‘Ghost’, cause that opens up those possibilities for improvement, which couldn’t have been done if they had stuck to Jin and Tsushima. Bigger cities, more varied fighting styles/gameplay, etc.
Which brings us to AC Shadows, which i...
This kinda game-fragmentation is also a big reason why many gamers stopped buying games Day 1, because they don’t like the idea of being sold a ‘base-game’, followed by nickel & dime add-ons, instead of simply the whole experience …
It’s simply not as good as the new Tekken 8, or the new Street Fighter 6, and not as good as Mortal Kombat 11.
On top of that the guest-characters are far worse than those in MK11, while the DLC greed is ridiculous.
Unless you’re a hardcore Mortal Kombat fan, there simply isn’t enough of an argument to invest in it, and if you’re a casual fan, you’d be better off picking up a cheap copy of MK11 including all content.
Console gamers do want their consoles to remain consoles, though. If they remove the ease of use, like a discdrive, or include anti-consumer measures like mandatory online check-ins etc, then a lot of people will shrug and stick with their old systems.
I was so happy (and surprised) Death Stranding has the option to play the game with the Japanese voices. Really hope DS2 includes the option as well.
They have minimized their presence in stores, so yeah, kinda. When I’m a passionate console-gamer walking into a store, and the shelves are full of Playstation 4/5 games, and full with Switch games, and there’s a pathetic small section with a few Xbox games, then I kinda shrug at that offering, and stick to the consoles and games which ARE available in those stores.
I was in Hong Kong and Japan this year, and sadly, Xbox is pretty much an abandoned brand nowadays, even wors...
I already consider Xbox 'out'. They don't seem to.have a clue what console-gamers want from a console, and barely any stores carry their games any more, because Xbox wants to be about digital, streaming, subscriptions, and they forget that many gamers just want to to buy their games, feel ownership over their purchase (physical), and that's it.
A Street Fighter Alpha 4 would be cool, or perhaps a remake of Alpha 3, including all characters.
I hope they’ll release a Complete Edition (physical) for Switch 2, cause I liked the demo and it seems like a cool game to get when the Switch 2 launches …
Really looking forward to this. It’s AC in the setting I’ve always dreamed of. And it covers an era in Japanese history which is arguably its most interesting. Also, it’s set in a region I’ve visited in real life, so I’m looking forward to re-visiting it and seeing those landmarks and cities how they used to be, centuries ago.
I understand the devs sitting this one out. Within a few years PS6 will be out and then they'd also be expected to do some upgrades again.
I think they just want to focus on their new projects now, be it new Witcher (4) or a new Cyberpunk.
I like the Far Cry games, but not excited at all about a New England setting …
