Yeah, good luck with that(!) People will just keep playing their old games or buy some cool 2nd hand games, or whatever. I can't think of a single EA game which I'd pay more than 50 bucks for, let alone 100.

Even if tariffs are now eliminated, China and other countries now know American buyers are able to spend more to get their hands on these products, plus many suppliers have already found new clients & markets as well, so don’t expect prices to go down to pre-tariff levels, especially not with the US dollar falling as well.
Finally, US sellers might also decide to just keep prices high in order to increase their profit margins and win back some of the money they lost in the past f...

@ManMarmalade; You mean devs don’t want you to just keep playing the superior older games in a series and enjoy yourself with those, when they have just released a sequel or reboot which is objectively worse than what the fans had before. So, if you want to play a basketball game, or an open world racing game, or a good FIFA/PES game, or a good MP shooter, or a good skateboarding game, WHATEVER, they want you to pick up their latest releases, full price obviously, instead of you just cherry-p...

Well, in prior generations, their own games often were priced aggressively, in order to sell as many copies, so playstation gamers would try them out and enjoy them. This meant that we’d often buy games which we weren’t sure about if we were gonna like them, or even play them, but when a game is 15-20 bucks we would jump on it anyway.

This gen, Playstation keeps all their pricing at a premium. So if that’s your strategy, it means you prioritize big profits per item sold, i...

Only reason I love Far Cry is because it gives me that open world sandbox shooter experience in a SP story-driven game with lots of freedom. I have -zero- interest in a MP Far Cry.

But hey, I’m sure these suits know best … (!)

If they want to create a MP game, just make one. But they shouldn’t need to use and destroy the Far Cry IP to do so …

It can’t become ‘the game of a generation’, simply because back then, EVERYBODY with a NES, especially the young kids, HAD Super Mario Bros, It was THE game that came with the system, and so everyone knew it and played it and loved it, and as such, it built the whole Mario dynasty for generations to come. Nintendo = Mario. Super Mario Bros was pretty much the Mount Everest of 8-bit console gaming, only to be overshadowed by Super Mario Bros 3 at the end of that cycle.

That’...

The major (Western) studios have been kinda phoning it in in recent years, creatively bankrupt, risk-adverse, entitled, stubborn & greedy. THAT is THE problem for them, not passionate indie-devs who DO love what they’re doing, understand their responsibilities, take creative risks, and don’t nickel & dime their customers/fans.

All the harm done to the major studios, has been self-inflicted, mostly by the uncreative suits running the show and making dumb decisions ab...

Does it have cool CRT-scanline filters included, like the Marvel vs Capcom collection, Street of Rage 4, and Sonic Mania?

Ir's up to Team Cherry to decide what's a fair price for their product, and what they feel gets them as many people playing their game while.also still making some money out of their work (obviously).

Same as every other dev making such decisions for their product.

In the end, the market decides, but as I've said before, personally I'd rather see a product at a reasonable, affordable price, which means a lower barrier for folks to pick it ...

Strong disagree from me, and obviously that’s just my personal opinion, but, to me, Driveclub is pretty much still the benchmark in many areas, graphically, but especially track-design, the sense of speed, the actual thrill of racing, and the glorious dynamic weather & lighting system which means it is able to just keep surprising you with how it looks. You can drive around a corner and suddenly see a majestic sky, or the rays of sun and rain combining to paints some pretty pictures throu...

AAA output these days is decided by a bunch of suits who have no idea about gaming, aren’t gamers themselves, but follow industry buzz-words and ‘get-rich-quick-skeems’ like NFT, GaaS, MTX, whatever. They have no clue what genres we are missing, because they don’t have sale-figures on games that aren’t getting made anymore.

Indie-devs make games they’re passionate about, games that don’t exist anymore, BECAUSE they don’t exist anymore. And because many of us miss those game...

They expressed similar ambitions with the last one, 2042. We all know how that ended. Halo Infinite did it as well.

Stop it. Just make a good Battlefield game. Make sure it has what Battlefield fans want.

They'll buy the game. They'll enjoy the game. Then 2-3 years from now, you release a new game in the series. That's it. That's literally all they need to be doing

70 bucks, plus you need to be paying for online play on console, plus they'll do season passes ...

Battlefield looks promising, no doubt, but I'm gonna stick to F2P shooters if I want a few quick games online.

The game seemed like fun to me, reminding me of a spiritual successor to Beyond Good & Evil, but if you want me to buy your game than you have to sell me the complete game, and not a game where you’re already boasting about an extra season pass with DLC expansions.

I only speak for myself; I’m not a Star Wars fan, BUT, Outlaws looked really great to me in the previews, like a spiritual successor to Beyond Good & Evil.

Reason I didn’t pick it up, is very simple; Season Pass. I don’t buy incomplete games at launch. Suits please take note.

It's clearer than ever that Xbox values its shareholders more than they value their own employees, its own products (games, consoles), and their own customers.

It's not just tariffs. It's the whole industry demanding higher prices and often not selling you a complete game, just so they can nickel & dime you post-launch.

People are sick of it.

Unless they address and solve the (lack of) physical releases, I think a lot of gamers are gonna shrug at this Switch 2 offering, TBH.

Kinda hate this, TBH. I wish they would go back to the Sega fan-service which was Sonic & Sega All-Star Racing Transformed. Instead, they go for cross-over IPs for some easy quick bucks.

This is just greed, and has nothing to do with Sonic or Sega …
