Call me old-fashioned, but I just think if you buy a game you should just get the whole game. None of this ‘exclusive/bonus’ stuff for pre-ordering, or buying it at a certain retailer, or whatever.

The suits won’t learn. They’ll just see something in another game which is popular and then demand their devs to shoehorn that feature into the next Battlefield game, and then when that one fails as well, they’ll shrug, blame consumers or the market, and move on to their next failure.

They can’t grasp the notion that all we want from a Battlefield game … is for the game to just be a Battlefield game. That’s it. That’s all it needs to do.

Let’s hope this time they’ll include the option for Japanese voices in the Western releases …

Still hoping one day this game will get a Complete Edition for PS5/SeriesX including all content.

Same goes for FighterZ & Kakarot btw.

I’d like an open world Ducktales/Disney Universe game. If Lego does it, that’s fine.

A Lego Wizard (/World) of Oz could be amazing. Or maybe even stretch that into a collection of different children’s literature (Alice, Peter Pan, etc) Taking your Lego adventures through numerous books and locations.

Or perhaps Lego Toriyama, so Dr Slump and Dragon Ball combined. So many characters, stories, locations, etc.

I guess Mai is gonna look a bit different from now on …

Only thing they need to do to make great Battlefield game again, is to make an actual Battlefield game again.

I disagree, but mostly because I feel a China setting could open it up to (far) more variety in its fighting system(s) and thus skill trees. Lots of different martial arts, lots of different weapons, lots of different groups to form alliances with or feuds against. Couple that with base-building and clan-building, and the huge variety in towns, cities, mountains, forests, temples, deserts, etc etc, could result in an amazing experience.

I wish Ubisoft would just return to making (SP) games instead of jumping on every new bandwagon (MT’s, GAAS, cloud, NFTs, etc etc)

Imagine growing up where your dream is to create fantastic new games for a new generation, you get hired by a big organisation like Ubisoft, and then the suits in charge decide that instead of having you create those great games, they’re far more interested in how many MT’s they can make you shove into whatever you’re making, and now they want t...

They just need to go back to basics, and drop all the BS.

So 10-12 proper mid-sized 5-flag Conquest maps, 4 balanced classes, 32 vs 32 teams, and that’s it. That’s all BF needs to have/be. No live-service, no MT’s, no ‘specialists’. Just a bunch of fun, gorgeous maps, nice gunplay, good dedicated servers, and go!

To be fair, I watched IGN’s review of GT7 and considering the negative points addressed in that video (always online, mediocre soundtrack, expensive in-game car-parts and even colours(!), meh ray-tracing, and an outdated car-selection,), I didn’t expect them to give it a 9/10. Sounded more like it would get an 8 or 8,5.

Of course, a 6/10 seems (far) too low for this game, but I also feel that for this reviewer the menus probably got in the way of just playing and enjoying t...

Nah, EA made a lot of really good stuff throughout the years. SSX3 for example still holds up today and there hasn’t been a game in the genre which has come close since. NBA Street v3 was excellent. Burnout 3 a classic. Def Jam FFNY wasn’t perfect of course but it was absolutely a lot of fun.

In the late 80’’s and in the 90’s, they had a lot of good stuff coming out, in numerous genres, many of which classics and well-loved at the time, be it the (Desert/Jungle/Urban) Strik...

Gorgeous art-design for sure, which still looks stunning to this day.

The outside levels were fun and gorgeous, the inside levels were less impressive/memorable. The whole hand-to-hand combat felt a bit unnecessary/clumsy, but when the game was just focused on running and holding momentum, it was a blast.

Such a shame that the sequel didn’t build on what was good, but instead kinda steered into the lesser parts.

But I guess that’s typi...

If the suits believe the only big problem with BF2042 is/was “too many bugs”, and not the actual game itself, then there’s no hope whatsoever that they have a clue about why this failed miserably.

I liked the game back when it was released, especially the squirrel-gun of course (were they squirrels? Not sure) and the other weapons, and some fun enemies. A genuinely original game, but I doubt I’ll bother with the remaster. When you look at the textures they really feel low-res and outdated.

I couldn’t find info on this earlier this week, but have they announced if the Western releases will have the option for Japanese voices or not … ?

It’s the ‘buy and own nice stuff in a fake reality because you can no longer afford the nice stuff in the real world’ scam.

Hilarious? Kinda. To me, the first word I thought was ‘depressing’.

Only thing they need to do is stop listening to the suits and bring this game back to its basics; 8-10 gorgeous fun conquest maps (5-6 flags, medium sized), 4 well-balanced classes, and that’s it.

“No-one is forcing you to buy them”

True, and I won’t, thanks, but it would be a damn shame if Sony is kinda pushing devs like Media Molecule to focus their next LBP game as a GAAS product instead of a SP game with a (free) community-driven creative MP component.

This isn’t good news, and you can tell it isn’t good news because pretty much the most common ‘positive’ response to this news is “come on, it won’t be that bad, people”.

But T...
