Hey I get it. Transistor is one of my favorite games but I know that no game is for everybody. I myself am in the minority when it comes to not liking first person shooters, online multiplayer, sports titles and Bethesda games. I get that people enjoy these things, just not for me so I can respect and empathize when someone doesn't care for a game I adore.
Hajime Saito or no buy
I wonder if they see a void somewhere between mobile gaming and home consoles and are trying to fill it.
Starnge. I always felt that Nintendo just had to do two things to jump right back into my gaming heart. First would be to claim "T for Teen". and second would be to go all out to regain third party support, or alternatively, forget massive third party support and make a grand push to be a gamer's second console.
My head hurts just thinking about it. some have better stories than others, Others better characters, others still better worlds, better gameplay, better loot/inventory/progression systems. Are we talking pure enjoyment, impact on the industry? replayablity, do you factor in how well they hold up or just how they were at launch?
I can and do deny it.
Looks like it's just the 360 version. just a heads up.
My nostalgia wins
Well yeah, but that selection seems tailor made for me. I haven't played a wrestling game in over a decade. Never hated them, but they never really wowed me either. Since I never planned on ever buying one again, this is a great way for me to check out to see how much it's improved over so many years.
Have to agree. apart from wwe, this line up feels very much like a PS+ of old line up. and even wwe, I don't believe has ever been offered on either service, and still MS takes flak. come on, call a spade a spade.
I'm on the verge of nabbing bound. That's gonna drive me crazy for a couple weeks.
It does suck. I do wonder why they need to get permission though. a PS2, I don't think, needed Sony to get permission from publishers to run individual PS1 games. I'm guessing it's because it's emulating the titles instead of running them natively.
My actual quote: "Their fight for equality is going their way and I applaud them for it, But this is gaming, and I play games for the story and just shoving in an lgbt character just for the sake of being inclusive does not a good story make. " umm, yeah, that's me wanting them being gay for the sake of being gay. suuure.
And I wasn't talking about ellie being gay, I was talking about ellie being a teenage girl. But since you want to change it to talking about e...
They also did it with Dorian. That in my mind was the best representation of any member of the lgbt community in all of gaming. It wasn't thrown in your face, it impacted the character and helped shape who he was and it wasn't the only force driving him, it just gave context to why he was the way he was.
We're all humans sounds like we don't need any other perspective. the straight white male's story is the only story we need. Ellie in the last of us could have been swapped out for a 30 year white man and it would have been the same. either that or the entirety of left behind was based on her being a teenage girl. Besides, seeing some of those "unique challenges" is the point. We don't go through it, the majority of us aren't cops but we can enjoy seeing thin...
Doesn't that assume that the ps3 and 360 prices are perfectly acceptable?
I mean if they double the last gen price and keep the remastered price the same, it will be an even better deal. and if they raise last gen again, better still. See the problem?
indeed
Last of us told a great story, so did the witcher games, so did oxenfree, so did numerous final fantasies etc. none of those had you make your own character. If you prefer they stick with the same old perspective and just tweak gameplay, that's fine. But I prefer a good story in my games. It's the main reason I play them. And having a gay protagonist does not automatically equate a sub par story, that depends on the writer.
Lastly, games can have great stories and great ...
Why? because it can give us a fresh perspective which could lead to better story. The problem will come from just shoving them into the spotlight to cater to SJWs and the left wing extreme.
If you have a story to tell from that perspective, great. If you're doing it just to jinn up debate and controversy (Sulu as mentioned above) count me out. Their fight for equality is going their way and I applaud them for it, But this is gaming, and I play games for the story and just sho...
Patiently waiting on this one.
I'm all for equality, but not coming from her. Everything I've seen from her sends the vibe of her just doing stuff like this for the attention and money. lack of research, blatant lying, misrepresenting facts, etc etc. So no, let's make her a pariah and fill the void with someone better.
