My guess is that a bad analogy should not negate the point. Basically, arguing semantics while the meat and potatoes of the argument is left untouched.
While I'm no fan of the midgen upgrades, I will point out that this whole thing seems to have started from a slight misconception that makes a big difference. What Andrew House said was that he noticed console players moving over to PC, and he wanted to keep them, not that he was trying to get primarily PC gamers to switch to Playstation. Unless he made another claim that I haven't heard about, seems like these guys are talking about the topic in the wrong way.
I hear you on multiple points there. Know that I don't give them a pass when it comes to PC versions running like crap. In fact, I find it offensive to all gamers as PC players ten to be the ones who cough up the extra cash in order to get the best visuals, frame rates, and just overall polish. When a dev, craps on that version, they're basically saying "cash first, you all if we can get to you". As a primarily playstation gamer, that means that if another platform sudde...
It's about what you prioritize. I have a gaming PC and consoles. And while I prefer consoles, I can tell you both have advantages. The Master race types tend to cling heavily on having prettier pictures, and that's true, but it also offers an open platform, no subscriptions needed, the joy of mods and so on. While on the console side you never have to check specs to see if you can run this game or that, you get those exclusive games, you don't have to learn the lingo of an ent...
Got my eye on this one
Very underrated entry in the series.
I'm skipping both and waiting on next gen.
You honestly saying xbox is immune from shovelware because it's USA based?
Where in the article does it say that?
Oklahoma?
Yeah but you don't want to end up like the Wii in terms of software.
I'm a knowledgeable and committed gamer. I've got almost 5,000 trophies and around 25,000 Gamerscore. And I know my fair share about developers, frame rates, E3 and so on.
PS4 Pro is not for me.
I'll gladly purchase a PS5, but these mid gen upgrades? No.
Better to pay attention to the people making it than random internet commenters.
Nice, I enjoyed Dex. Can't wait to see what these guys can do with the horror genre.
Past halo campaigns were the best in fps history? not bioshock? not half life? Halo had the best in history? I know this is subjective, but still, really?
No, and won't buy a pro either. Don't like the idea of mid cycle upgrades. I'll be in the camp of "if my current PS4 dies".
Yeah I was going to mention that as well, but you had already pointed it out. It's just a title designed to get under our skin to get us to click. "That sounds like he's telling me I don't matter, well I gotta see his reasoning for that!"
"they all like to think that their collective voice means something, that their opinions alone, will transform the landscape ". So which is it? they know that they have to come together for their voice to mean something? or they think they alone can change something?
But yeah, you're right, gamers' voices don't matter. unrelated, I really want to play sunset overdrive, but I can't because my internet connection is out. Also my buddy loaned me h...
Yeah, I'm good. I'll wait on PS5.
I begrudgingly agree with you.
