I'd like to think they're raising the price to give us increased value. (ie, better games, a movie rental, maybe adding a PSVR title etc). But the fact that they just said it's going up with no mention of that makes me think they're testing to see if we'll bend over and just take a price increase.
I'll wait to see if they have an increase value proposition. But if all things stay the same, just having me pay $10 more, I won't re sub. It's been borderline for me for a while, a 20% increase is enough to tip me to one side.
However, I'd stay on board if they start doing things like maybe add a movie rental, a 30 day rental of a ps now title of your choice, and maybe shake up the free games (ie something along the lines of nixing the PS3 titles and a vita title ...

@ sam. I hear that assumption a lot, and I'm sure it applies some times. but for me, I hate deals like this. Altogether. If it's a title in danger of not being continued at all (eg bayonetta) or a new IP you want associated with your platform (eg. titanfall) then that's all good. But when you have an established multiplatform and you pay money to keep its fans from playing it... I call foul. If this was not timed, I'd be buying it used. If I cared about street fighter, I...
Don't know where you got that 10 million number from, but if true, that would mean they only expected to sell around 200,000 - 250,000 copies on PS4. (rounding up to account for additional costs).
I can't see someone being stupid enough to sign a deal like that. But then again, from start to finish this deal was a bad one for them.

elite controllers... I tried the X1 elite and saw the scuff versions of both and I'm kinda "meh" on them. they're cool and all but not anything over $80 cool.
