The wii U also lacked a TON of multiplats. PS had both exclusives and multiplats. xbox lacks exclusives, ninty lacks multiplats. One of the three is dominating. Think of this moldy, the xbox is closer in sales to the switch than the PS4. ...

They do matter more than multiplats because they are one of the main factors when deciding which console to get. The multiplats will be on xbox and PS both, so if you're trying to decide which to get, multiplats matter little to nothing. What matters is things like exclusives, price, friends' choice, specs, ecosystem, and controller preference.

@aloren that's a little cherry picky though. how long was the original xbox on the market compared to the PS2? same question with the 360 and PS3. PS3's launch was bad but you're using some fuzzy math to make it seem worse than it was.

When MS had the majority of players, they said no, it's only after the PS4 took that away from them that suddenly they were ok with it.
