I'll give you one reason:
Price. 350$ isn't worth it for a slightly advanced xbox360.
I can't be the only one who doesn't expect a new console to be announced.
wait so Ys Celceta is making it out of japan??
(haven't read the article)
I've been saying this forever. I can't find anything that makes me want to have the system and the price is still too much even if i did want it.
It doesn't take a genius to see Nintendo's dropping forecasts leading to an early price cut. They did it with 3ds and if it means regrouping their efforts to lift their new system I can't see who would argue against it.
This troll attempt was ab-solutely dreadful. Stick to typing on Mii Verse, it'll help your self asteem.
Didn't even have to finish reading your comment to know you're a hardcore nintendo fan.
I've said it once I'll say it again, nothing but a Price Cut will dig the WiiU out of the hole its in at the moment.
@insomnium
Your approach to "fanboy wars" is very unique and i can see some truth in that. The media bias seems pretty skewed at some points where others get a free pass. For example, as I mentioned above, the WiiU's launch numbers are VERY similar if not wrse than ps3's, yet is deemed 'acceptable'. But this isn't really about that so, moving on.
@ElectricKai
Well then they should start considering it (insider tip: they already ha...
Wow, I have no choice but to respect such an intelligent response to my original comment. I'm in a tough position to argue but, well, here goes...
First of all I wasn't cheerleading for ps3 nor spelling doom for Nintendo. Simply pointing to the hypocrisy of fanboys. "The WiiU will win the generation" coming from Nintendo fans when it doesn't seem to be fairing any better than the early ps3 which was met with "lol Playstation is dead". Seems fun...
Even though the ps3 was a lot more expensive. Example: By March 31 2007 (3 days afetr European luanch) PS3 had SHIPPED 5 million. Which was considered failure even back then not compensating for the insane asking price. Why should Wii U be considered "not bad" even forgetting the overall growth of the console market.
Besides that, people seem to think Playstation's loss of home console market share from one generation to the next is something to gloom about. How...
inb4 Sony copied wii mote, wii sucks, move sucks, xenoblade wii's only good game, xenoblade is best ever, mario getting old, etc.
^^ saved you guys the trouble of arguing this for the next 6 hours. You're welcome.
All fanboys are silly IMO. :|
Did AngelicIceDiamond just come into a negative Playstation article to call out fanboys and rave about the new xbox which hasn't even been announced yet? The irony... It hurts.
And people agreed with him?
Wii U did 10k more than Vita. Fanboys still claim the vita is somehow dead but Wii U is doing phenomenal. Give me a break.
If Japan weren't Nintendo nutjobs the Wii would be outselling WiiU today. That is bad. But don't tell that to a Nintendo fanboy.
He's not serious. At least about the "Halo killer". People who took that seriously are fools to give him exactly what he wants.
1) A handheld game has nothing to do with the success of a console game.
2) He's probably on MS's marketing team trying to plug Halo into unrelated topics under the guise of trolling.
3) Mark him for trolling and ignore him (there's an ignore feature on this site).
Too early to say if the Wii U will win anything. I know some fanboys don't like hearing it but right now it struggles to compete with x360 and ps3. It doesn't have much going for it in the games department plus Nintendo is selling it at a ridiculous price for what is a slightly better 360 with a pad controller.
In a few years it might be a different story but Nintendo better pick up the slack on some new games (pretty telling when all anyone really cares about on the...
It's not selling out, sadly. Ps3/X360 are both currently trampling it in sales and who knows how it will do against the next systems.
I found myself thinking about this when the "New" Zelda was announced. I can't for the life of me figure out why Nintendo purists don't want new things. I thought it was embarassing seeing how many were chomping at the bit for and old zelda in hd when it's a given that a real game is in the works.
We ALREADY KNOW what franchises Nintendo is going to throw at us, then they announce "HD REMAKE TO HOLD YOU OVER!" and fans go bananas. This is why t...
I didn't disagree but i'll be honest an old Zelda does not excite me nearly as much as some of you, let alone is it a dream come true. No offense but it's my opinion. Don't attack me for it.
I doubt this would make a major impact on WiiU's success, if any. At this point they essentially target a seperate audience in the non-gamer crowd.
Wii brand targets young families (or families with younger age children) while Playstation targets college age individuals and more "mature" households (I use mature loosely). They also cater to those who are more "aware" of what they buy.
Different targets in my perspective.
