699 is too much to ask any sane household to pay. But I have a feeling it won't be as cheap as people on here think.
Wiiu is 350 basic and 400 with pro controller and a game. I can't see ps4 matching it in price, you know, being a next gen console and all.
450 base model is acceptable.
But psn is free. ('¬')
It depends if you prefer Party speaking and solid interface vs periodic discounts, betas, early content, cloud storage, and rotating IGC
"There hasn't been a free game that I haven't owned" <- Really doubting this... Not defending ps+ but NOBODY has bought every game given in it.
To be fair I haven't seen them hype anything yet. The just made a teaser saying Feb. 20
"I just want to play ps4 games on my handheld, is that too much to ask?!"
Ps4 will be minimum 400$. Wiiu is 350 basic.
edit: This is hands down the best article I have read regarding "the future of PlayStation" event. I laughed.
Well they can show stuff earlier and build some hype. But i'm pretty much with you in finding it difficult to be excited. Hopefully the prove my doubts wrong.
Isn't the Wiiu like 300. Ps4 will probably launch at like 450.
I sort of agree. Though i am intrigued by the idea I'm more skeptical due to the sour taste Kinect left for me.
Good catch. I can see it being something related to virtual reality.
I'll bubble you for Interesting.
Battlefield 4 on ps4? Ah man I'm completely against the annualization of these games but I think i'd be all over that this xmas.
I haven't been into shooters for a while but I expect MS to show off something that might interest me.
how well does Wiiu compare to say, the ps3? I know there was talk that it can support definitive 1080p gameplay but so far Rayman is the only game I know for sure doing HD gameplay on Wiiu. Rayman origins on ps360 supports 1080 at a clean framerate, too.
I'm tempted to dial their Anonymous Tipster Hotline and hit them with,
Me: "Hi, I'm calling to give you information regarding our next home entertainment console."
May I ask your name and who you are speaking for, Sony or Microsoft, or the guy making the Ouya; there's still people waiting to be reimbursed for this you know.
"I'm speaking for MS but I am choosing to stay anonymous. I just wanted to say there is...
People need to stop saying this. I get that we're all waiting for the "real" next gen consoles but just chill out, pay attention and have fun speculating.
You're almost right. Nintendo reported 3 million shipped which isn't deceiteful on their part but it means a good chunk are sitting on store shelves at the moment.
PS3 pulled similar numbers in the same time frame but circumstances were a little different. For example the hardware was much more expensive at the time than the WiiU is now so it costed 200$ more on release. Stock also did not meet demand in PS3's case, which isn't the case with WiiU; it's qui...
I haven't watched, but to those who braved the possible spoiler-filled contents guilt-free, i ask:
Is it worth it?
My guess is as good as any but I don't see it being new playstation hardware; possibly Gaikai reveal with announced games/movies or similar that will be available with it's launch later this year. It won't be a psvita re-model that some people suggested. It won't be a new ps3 model.
My best bet is probably an introduction to the new Gaikai service and showcasing.
Shipped is correct. This is what Nintendo reported.
