Obviously not.
It doesn't matter how many sales or promotions Nintendo does, so long as they insist on selling digital games at full retail prices and refuse to link digital content to users instead of hardware, they'll always be too anachronistic to much bother with.
Which is about par for the course.
Still better than the Vita's weekly average.
Or a PC.
It's not like we're talking PS2 games here.
Three?
I'd have trouble narrowing down the best games of 2013 to ten, or even twenty. This year has been AWESOME.
And it's not over yet.
And 2014 looks to be even better.
Well, I was watching TNG in another tab and had plenty of time to think about it because Troi had her goddamn mouth open.
I'm not really sure what you're trying to say.
If you're attempting to argue that Nintendo games are immature in theme, that's patently false. If you're trying to argue that their game design is overly iterative in nature and they have a tendency toward conservative game structure, you might have more of a point.
But if the latter is the case, I would argue that Nintendo has made some very liberal design choices with their new IPs, and tha...
What they've said about moving ideas back and forth between the Wind Waker port and ZeldaU makes me hopeful we'll see cel-shading in the new game.
All I want is a cel-shaded Zelda with an open world.
And some customization would be nice, but not strictly necessary. I'd love to be able to customize Link's armor and weapons, or see Link with a female character model, but in general the Japanese industry seems very insistent on acting as though g...
It's not really BS. The market is increasingly saturated. Now, we've got the current generation of consoles and PCs... coming up on the next generation of consoles... and mobile phones and tablets... and the new "breed" of gaming boxes like OUYA and SteamOS. Oh--and handhelds like the 3DS and Vita.
But I would argue that the climate is too different from 1983 to really draw a parallel. Simply put, the gaming industry is much bigger now than it was then. The ...
Too many too count.
Who will pick regular Goku over the others?
Me.
Every single time.
Only the least mature fans out there are still masturbating to the "most powerfullest" transformations like SSJ3/4, Broly, etc.
I've actually been playing Wind Waker more than GTA:V, to a significant degree.
Not quite. Nintendo may be very conservative when it comes to game design (post-GCN), but they have taken HUGE risks with all four of their most recent consoles (NDS, 3DS, Wii, WiiU)--and those risks have paid off magnificently.
In terms of the Wind Waker port, it was very much a smart and necessary move for Nintendo. It would have been impossible to develop a wholly new Zelda title within the same time frame, and Nintendo desperately needs to expand the WiiU's library of...
It doesn't matter if it's three people making a rubbish assumption, or three thousand. It's still a rubbish assumption.
I'm calling BS on this. FFX and FFX-2 use almost 95% of the same assets--the same 3D models for NPCs, enemies, and world objects; the same textures; the same animation data; etc., etc. There's absolutely no reason the GAMEPLAY of the two games shouldn't look identical.
Also, baggies usually only result when a game isn't played at native resolution, and can be fixed easily enough. If these issues were present' it's likely--considering the games still ha...
Well, let's see: do we announce Half Life 3, that everyone wants... or a gamepad without thumbsticks that no one wants?
Obvious choice is obvious.
You can milk anything with a nipple.
I keep hoping to see Ace Attorney, or a good VC game, on one of these articles... but I never do.
I disagree.
I think a big problem with modern fighting games is how conservative the designs are. With anime-based games like this, we typically see a much more diverse roster of characters, with much more unique, exaggerated movesets.
That, if nothing else, should make the game appealing for non-fans. I mean, hell, I'm not a One Piece fan at all, but I love the One Piece Musou games because of all the different, crazy abilities the characters have.
That's just what the Pokemon franchise needs: more milking. For the love of God, Pikachu's nipples have seen enough abuse by now.
Why would the "next DS" be compatible with WiiU? If anything, Nintendo's next generation handheld would be compatible with Nintendo's next generation home console.
