The lack of in-game transformations is a bit of a downer, but Artdink has a pretty good track-record, so I'll probably buy this day one.
So glad Spike lost the license. Finally.
Sorry, what? Did you not notice how they created most of that setting by ripping off other science fiction settings, quite blatantly? The basic lore and narrative is almost a 1:1 Babylon 5 knock-off.
As a Mass Effect fan, all I have to say to Bioware is "knob off."
I couldn't possibly agree more. Well, about Nintendo.
Sony has really done very well with the PS1 classics, even on Vita. Unlike Nintendo where there are innumerable examples, I can really only think of one title conspicuously absent from Sony's digital catalog--Suikoden II.
Where Sony has really dropped the ball--and descended into utter failure--is the PS2 Classics line, and to an even greater extent, PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSN games on the PlayStation ...
Or, to put it another way, Hyrule Historia basically DENIED the fan-theory that the Hero's Shade was OoT Link.
Anyway, on topic, the only time I was ever genuinely "spooked" by something in a Zelda game... it was in Ikana Canyon. Just... that whole quarter of the game. So damned creepy.
Funny, I feel like the WiiU is a better console one year into its life than the Wii was in its third year.
The same thing that ALWAYS happens: games. Specifically how Nintendo has no worthwhile third party support, poor support for the VC service, and the fact that they've delayed several big titles to 2014. The only big release they've had for the WiiU this year was Pikmin back in August, and Pikmin is hardly a system seller.
Monkeys with typewriters, obviously.
- Nintendo intends to boost VC and library; it’s not fully utilized
- Nintendo thinks it can do more with its digital offerings
I'm not sure whether I should be pleased that they noticed, or further irritated that it's taken them so many years to FINALLY notice.
But it's still Nintendo, so of course they're spewing the usual rubbish, too:
- Nintendo, whether digital or packaged, believes price should be the same
If you're looking back on the first five games, and are thinking the modern-day narrative linking them together was one of the best parts... or even a passably good part... I don't know what to say.
The less AC4 relates to the Desmond's Magic Crazy Alien Troupe, the better.
One trick pony? Which trick would that be, cinematic third-person shooters, open-world vehicular platformers with weapon combat, or traditional segmented platformers?
And you must be one helluva douchebag.
Wow. At first I was upset you wrote a long-ass, poorly-formatted post that had absolutely nothing to do with the post you clicked "reply" to. But, wow, you sure managed to get me over that feeling with your blatant sexism.
That's... interesting, but I'm not sure it's a valid study. Actually, I'm certain it's not a valid study because it's focused exclusively on GAMING media.
Gaming is interactive media, so--ostensibly--it may elicit different psychological effects than non-interactive media, but there's no real indication here that women assuming the role of sexualized gaming characters effects them any differently than VIEWING sexualized female characters in film, t...
They do have a point, kind of. Releasing multiple versions of the same game... at the same time... is absurd, no matter what delusional world you live in.
But that point is tempered somewhat by the simple fact that PETA is little more than a cabal of murderers. They are the number one animal euthanasia organization on the planet, executing thousands of animals each year. Of all of the dogs, cats, and other pets they "rescue," a good 90% are butchered.
??? What are you even talking about?
Obviously not.
What it will do is break the trend of linear dungeon progression which has dominated every Zelda game since Majora's Mask.
Rome 2 certainly does not.
Ooh! Ooh! I know this!
Because you have terrible taste in games and only enjoy strategy games where you don't have to do anything so tiresome as thinking?
Did I guess right?
Rubbish list. In addition to the games that aren't coming out in 2014, it's also missing a couple of the biggest RPGs of next year--Divinity Original Sin and Wasteland 2.
