I like my WiiU, but I'm not one of the fanboys disagreeing with you.
WiiU is easy to forget because it's, well, homeless. It doesn't really fit in with either the previous hardware generation or the upcoming hardware generation. This is the same problem the Dreamcast had. It's not old, it's not new--it's in limbo.
Hell, sometimes I forget I even own a WiiU because I get distracted by all my other gaming devices. It's literally just...
Nintendo? GTA4?
I'm still angry over PC and RDR.
That's really not the case.
It only appears that way if you're only looking at the home console platforms, even more so if you're only looking at those platforms overseas. The genre is thriving in Japan as much as ever. Perhaps moreso, now that the once-behemoth presence of Square and Enix has been so greatly diminished.
I agree. But, then again, I don't think very highly of either game.
Gaming can really only be split into three "generations," and modern gaming didn't really begin until the SNES era. As such, I'm ashamed to say I find it very difficult to really get into any NES (or older) games. The only one I've really liked has been Kid Icarus, but I was playing the 3D Classics version, and it's possible Nintendo tightened up the controls to make it feel more...
The PS3 has a better library than the PS4. The PS3 can play PS1 and PS2 games, the PS4 cannot.
No matter how you look at it, PS3 is superior. It really isn't that hard to wrap your mind around. Unless you're a casual gamer who only ever cares about the latest titles, of course.
So are you, son?
A C-c-c-c-casual.
@ChickeyCantor
"What is Nintendo doing...."
Isn't it obvious?
Demonstrating they're usual level of competence and lack of self-awareness. Haven't we come to expect this sort of thing from them by now?
Not sure if that's the word I'd use.
It's not a right--it's a sacred and solemn responsibility.
Nintendo: Oh no! Our new handheld is failing! Let's hurry up and drop the price, and release a new, superior model! And then beef up game development so we can launch at least one high-quality game, per month, forever.
Sony: Oh no! Our new handheld is failing! Let's hurry up and drop the price, and release a new, superior model! And then call it a day.
...
EDIT: Sony is once again emulating the competition, but--as was the case with t...
That's what I've always heard. But it is fun to see Sony backtracking on this, as the OLED screen being "superior" to LED was one of the (only) major selling points for the Vita when it launched.
The big different I'd always heard was the burn-in was less likely to occur on an OLED screen. But I'm not sure how much of an issue that is. I've been using screens of all types since the days of MS-DOS, and owned dozens of portable consoles and LCD mon...
Let me guess... WiiU has poor sales (due to poor quality library), 3DS has really good sales (due to really high quality library).
Is it even worth clicking the link?
Whether or not I buy a PS4 at launch depends almost entirely on what is, or is not, revealed at TGS. In most cases, whether or not a game gets an overseas release is irrelevant to me (unless the Japanese market gets a big hike in average prices--there's no MSRP there, you know).
The only exception being the new Bakamatsu Yakuza game. Sure, the premise is wonky as hell, but it's a game I have to play, and my kanji skills are insufficient to allow me to fully appreciate...
I would commit murder for this.
I really wouldn't do very much, I'm quite happy with how Sony has handled the Playstation, since forever, with some exceptions.
The only real, major complaint I have is the lack of backwards compatibility. That's kind of a major issue. For me, the personal detriment is somewhat lessened by the fact that I'm a PC gamer with the ability to emulate almost every PS1 or PS2 game out there. But what happens with the next generation? The PS4 won't play PS3 games,...
You really ought to try playing a Musou game someday.
Why does it matter? The third parties selling on Amazon.com are selling at BELOW the MSRP, and the sale is still kosher with Amazon's fantastic customer service--the return policy, the free shipping, the whole thing.
If you give me £20, I'll tell you how to save £5.
I'm seeing a lot of games with male protagonists and damsel-style female characters tossed in.
So, yeah--not exactly a great year if psychopath Lara Croft is the best thing women get in gaming.
You're confusing Bravely Default with it's spin-off game, which is being treated as a demo for the sequel.
The only difference between Bravely Default we're getting in NA/EU and the Japanese version is that we're getting all of the extra content from the new release.
Go read up on Siliconera.
How exciting! What with the 3DS being so plagued, as it is, with stability issues.
