I honestly can't.
But I'm hoping as hell I'll be able to by this time next year.
Hopefully the side quests are more like Majora's Mask.
Anything to keep him from singing....
Wow. Four waves of amiibo and still hardly any compatibility with most games.
On the WiiU using the ALBW engine... Could be fantastic.
But I don't see it happening. The reason Mario Maker exists is because of the lukewarm reception of the NSMB games... Mario Maker exists because Nintendo no longer has any interest in producing 2D Mario mainline platformers. But 2D Zelda? I don't think they're ready to throw in the towel on that yet, plus the narrative is a big aspect of modern Zelda titles that would be difficult to reproduce in a Maker gam...
2017 is the absolute earliest we'll see a new console. 19 or 20 would be more likely.
There's absolutely no reason to expect SMTxFE in 2015, or anytime else. Until we see a single screenshot, it's pure vaporware.
We know it's not that because Capcom is on record stating that they want to move away from the traditional game model into F2P online models.
Usually takes 2+ years to hit 75% off. Only times that happens sooner is with exceptionally bad titles like Rome 2.
To be fair, most of FFXIII's problems are with game design, not narrative design. The original story concept and setting were pretty interesting... If that story had been coupled with a more open game that played like FFXII, I doubt very much many would have complained.
It doesn't matter what it is. People want another Dragon's Dogma game... And that game will never be an online game. Multiplayer RPGs are a completely different genre, no matter their form or quality.
Plus, this is Capcom, so we can expect it to be a cheap P2W F2P title that will drive the Dragons Dogma brand into the ground.
Because its a rumor and news sites are reporting the rumor like fact.
Last I heard we were still on Windows 6.2.
Or you miss it entirely because you were focused on playing the game, or the audio track cut out early because you accidentally triggered something else, or you can't hear a character's dialog any more because you accidentally touched an analog stick and every single developer these days HAS to code directional audio.
Every delivery method has weaknesses, some more than others.
I would say that the PS4's first year has largely been defined by multiplatform games, oldgen ports, and an absence of basic feature ranging from small things like content organization/sorting to big stuff like media playback and b/c.
I'd love to see a Don Quioxete game, and if anyone can make a good one, it's Telltale. Their engine is ideally suited for any book adaptation.
Can you imagine: Dune? Arsene Lupin? Romance of the Three Kingdoms? Tun Huang? Once and Future King? Hitchikers Guide? Dirk Gently? Journey yo the West? Song of Solomon?
The possibilities are endless.
Games have really come into their own as a narrative medium in the past decade or so,and there's much more thought and consideration placed in narrative delivery than ever before. Because of this, there's a certain push back against traditional play/cutscene segregation.
And while it's great developers are now more aware that there are many other tools they can use to tell stories, none make cut scenes obsolete--and never will. A good storyteller will use any tool...
The whole point of the game is fanservice, so minor gameplay improvements are unlikely to make up for the cut characters.
Of course.
Ooh, a Bladestorm demo. Cool.
Also: a shame the Diva F2 DLC is so obscenely overpriced.
