milking is the rehashing and naming of a game such that it will drive sales without providing any major improvemnts. Or all the twin snakes, substance, subsistence, games that kojima/konami makes purely done for profit garnering reasons.

where's the own part... The game specific stat tracking was done since halo 2 and other games had psycho stats well before then, halo 3 even has the latest video saved.
Once again, the people that call games like halo 3 overrated are enjoying the features that halo popularized.

Yes re5 was released, but it was also released on the ps3. So I wouldn't expect many people in japan to choose the 360 version over the ps3 version. Seems like MS is making headway. Hopefully they can continue the momentum into their next generation.

I bought it, I love it, I knew it was an rts from the moment I heard of the games conception.
Do people honestly believe it was an fps from a couple of commercials? That's like thinking that halo 3 was going to be a sports game because MC runs in the starry night ad.
Lets look at what people would have to have missed:
1 -Missing the fact the game was announced 2 years ago as an rts game.

MMOFPS - big universe, war, big battles and enough differentiation between roles (odst/recon/spartan/qcb/eod/ev a... etc). I could see halo support a game like planet side, with covenant VS humans, or even humans vs humans (yes there is a civl war going on for humans as well... it's in the books)
RTS - halo wars is good, but I think a halo rts on pc with more complexity would be much much better. Halo has a large universe and a ...

Is it really that impressive for a game that's been 6 years in the making, has an 80 million dollar budget, and hyped to be sony's answer to halo. A game like this should be outselling halo 3 let alon it's rts spin off. Didn't the 360 even have a smaller install base during it release?
the scout was heavily under utilized for it's purpose. Before the update you might see 1 scout on a server, why? because they didn't do anything, the fact they would have to stay still to cap a point is proof enough. Spys were better at picking up intel, and pyro's were better at capturing a point (compression blast people off). Scouts are still completely avoidance based, the sandman is to get past someone/stop a rush, the force can help clear a point and bonk energy drink lets the scout get...
It wasn't actually microsofts fault, there was high demand from manufactures like asus and bell for their computers to be vista compatable, micrsoft said no. They then threatened to sue microsoft which lead them to develop a very poor oem version of windows where almost all the bugs and problems stem from.

Crackdown could be technically called "multiplayer only" because there was no demarcation between the online and single player. Everything that you could do in single player was possible in multiplayer.

It looks like snake 3D in the katamari universe.
amped 2 is the best snowboarding game to date imo, had a great control scheme, the races were fun and pulling off a good stylish trick was hard but rewarding. I loved that game.
That and snowbard kids for the n64, turning someone into a snowman or hitting someone with a parachute right before they hit a jumped ruled.
the coolboarders on the ps1 was also awesome, same with twisted edge.
1080 snowboarding was too focused on racing.
