of course, doesn't mean the games gonna look bad.
If people would like to read the linked article in the post, it's not that xbox live, paypal, etc have been hacked, only that a set of usernames and passwords have been released which could be connected to accouts on these services.
If you're using the same password and id over a multitude of different sites it's heavily recommended you create new unique passwords wherever fit. Otherwise there's a good chance that your data could be used.
the reach engine wasn't completely new either. Bungie has always used old tagging methods that are inherent to their very games.
no engine is completely new.
Even source has legacy code from the original quake engine.
the game reminds me of brute force for the original xbox. (the whole squad team thing, I always wish they remade that game with online co-op)
this game looks awesome, if there was one title I wish i could get for pc it'd be this.
this is going to be the basis for microsoft next box I'm guessing (not this particularly, but the all on one chip idea, possibly even multiple cores).
It'll be interesting to see.
"massive" as in open, or "massive" as in long and linear.
A massive hallway is still easier to create then a smaller city, regardless of the amount of area each requires.
The job of microsoft is to try and sell you kinect. It's like saying "Sony stop trying to make me by HD t.v's". Or telling mcdonalds to strop trying to sell you an upsize or w.e.
Micorosft spent money to make the thing, of course they're going to try and sell it.
sounds fake.
just wanted to note that Bungie didn't do I love Bee's, that was all handled externaly buy an ARG company.
That said, bungie loves them their ARG's and I could totally see them doing it.
edit :
google search leads me to beleive that this is related to the portal 2 arg, or is possibly in conflict with it.
This makes sense.
It's microsoft's risk, either making the system standardized between developers, and having xbl as the hub and center for it's multiplayer. Which provides all gamers/games with a similar base when it comes to online services. It's beneficial in some ways because it means less emphasis on the developers, and a more coherent online overall. At the same time you get conflicts such as this where developers need to given more access.
Both sucked.
Both suffered from leaks and old content.
Both had embarrasing moments.
Neither had any particular ground breaking announcements.
In the end what we saw was what we knew was coming, so I don't understand how anyone could've been impressed by either showing.
Then you're not against microsoft having only kinect games, you're against Sony, MS, and Nintendo pandering to the mainstream.
What if they show you that kinect and move has the titles you want, what if they're have those games that make you want a Kinect or Move?
why?
Why does microsoft need more then just kinect games? I understand a lot of people could care less, but there's 10 million kinect owners, and many more potential owners out there. People need to stop thinking that Sony, Nintendo and MS are in it for them. They need to make money.
When I saw this, I instantly thought of how From Dust could make use of this. Especially if the game revolves around the management of materials like sand. (ie picking it up, and placing it somewhere else)
It's a very neat application and it'll be inetersting to see what MS has in store for it.
really liked that note at the end stating you have to pay for specific elite services. I wonder which ones they're talking about...
so I take it you kill people who work on sundays, stone children to death who disobey you, sell your daughter to slavery, don't wear mixed linens, and don't eat shrimp... because those are also in that big book as behavour that should be tolerated.
actually, studies show that male children born into a family with an already large number brothers have a higher rate of homosexuality.
Its beleived that the intraunerine homone levels change as a mother gives bith multiple times and this can be a factor in homosexual behavour.
So the argument people are born without a sexual preference is'nt really true.
a fetish, which it sound like you're describing, is much more an enviromental ...
gotta love the power of gpu's.
This is why I expect the next console generation to feature an extremely power gpu with very little cpu support, all coding for physics, ai, etc will be done via opencl, compute shaders, and cuda.
