This isnt really a big deal.
If you make much effort to make sure your engine runs well on consoles, doenst mean it will run worse on the PC.
PCs will always provide the most "cutting edge" experience. And, the technology will trickle-down to the consoles.
Yes, "best" is a subjective idea. The subjective opinion "my toyota corolla is the best" is a data point. So is "my Porsche 911 is the best"
Collect all those data points, and look at them OBJECTIVELY and you have the ability to make statements like Microsoft just made.
They said "we have the best games". And, guess what, they are 100% correct.

Windows Media Center has hundreds of plugins for all kinds of stuff.
