Sonarus, that is the most rational thing I've seen you write. Bubbles for you.
Clearly, the development environment, middleware (software and service) relating to Xbox LIVE enable the developers. That is what MSFT has been saying all along: to take care of all the back-end stuff and just let the developers create great games.
The problem with the PS3 is the software libraries that require developers give up a good deal of memory and CPU resources if they want t...
As stated above, that is not the in-game model. That's a rendered model fromt the selection screen.
The _method_ that the Xbox 360 will support mods is still being discussed. Clearly its not a technical issue.
Its a matter of issues _just like this_. IP issues, security issues, mostly legal issues.
Sony _is_ going to run into some problems over these issues in the future.
When the modders start to ruin online play with cheating, and the virus writers think it will be fun to look into the PSN, this wont look like such a good decision.

@mighty-douche:
You clearly dont know what you're talking about. It could be easily argued that this is infringing copyright.
I think its stellar that Microsoft is embracing the fan community's love of Master Chief and Halo.
You'll take _any_ obvious positive Xbox and Microsoft news and try and make it negative. Take it to the open zone ->
"When I upgraded from a 360 pro to a 360 elite, there was nothing I could do to save my data from the old 20gig hard drive." == wrong.

You can get the cable from Microsoft -- for free -- here:
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/s...
So, you didnt need to borrow the cable, they'll send you one for $0.

"I've removed my internal HDD on 4 separate occasions (to show friends how easy it is)"
Ok. Sure, it is "easy". But it is not as easy as the solution Microsoft has. The harddrive clicks on and off so you can carry it with you (to play @ a friends for instance).
If you want to say "removing PS3 is easy" you must say "removing Xbox 360 HD is MORE easy". So, why use the word "easy" if it has no context?

Wow, so much vitrol. Perhaps they could have done like Xbox 360 and provided a free cable, plugin the cable, transfer the data. ALL of it. Done.
So, the game saves are only a couple GB - what about the other data? How do you move that? The installs? The Downloaded Games? The music, movies and pictures you may have put there (though, for the life of me, I dont know why anyone would put data on a closed box like a video-game console as opposed to using a machine on your ho...
Hah! You're anti-Xbox 360 FUD stinks. Its got too old in mid-2007 when they made hardware changes to fix the heat issues and gave everyone a warranty fix.
Now, I wonder if Sony will give me 3 new PS2s that I had to pay for myself... oh, nevermind.
You sure are a funny dude. I'll be rocking a homebrew LED-modded set of controllers, and you'll be here making yourself look foolish.
He gives good instructions to DIY. Sounds like a _great_ project for Father & Son to learn something together.
"All his saves"? That could be many many GB of data. Is there no way to transfer your data to the new HD directly?
That's a seriously bad design.
I believe the owners of Xbox 360 tend to be a little older frankly. And, this site tends to be a bit over-run with young gaming zealots.
I also think this is the reason that they believe the promises that Sony made about the PS3's hardware abilities. They've not seen this same pattern with the earlier consoles that didnt deliver.
Sony's marketing for the PS brand has always been to promise 4D emotion chip AI blackhole magic missle guidence mega machines, the re...
Windows Media Center makes the Xbox 360 vastly superior to PS3 for media.
The Xbox 360 is a better streaming machine as well, considering WMC and its excellent integration with Windows.
Running Linux on the PS3 makes very little sense, you can use an old PC and have a vastly superior experience (like, say, hardware accelerated graphics).
Xbox 360 LIVE experience is head-and-shoulders above the alternatives, and the games are superior.
at above.
No, the Xbox 360 makes less noise:

MTV viewers are the main _video game_ demographic pal. Both sexes under, say, about 35.
Not exactly the best methods of polling. But, considering how much better LIVE is than PSN, and how much better the Xbox 360 library is (not my OPINION, goto metacritic, and see the truth) -- it should be no suprise.
I've been using Vista since the Betas. Never had an issue, it is stable, productive, featureful and good-looking.
SP1 installed without an issue. I'm not looking back.
I would disagree with their choices, but thats what is so great about Xbox LIVE Arcade. Good variety for all tastes.

Personally, my favorites are Gauntlet, Poker Smash, Carcassonne, Catan, Band of Bugs and Street Fighter II.

Actually, a lot of people think they went really really easy.
There were a heck of a lot of things they _didnt_ bring up.
You've never heard people say the PSN games are lame? Your not being honest..
Ok, Sonarus, you blew it.
What did the article say?
All things are equal -- EXCEPT that the Xbox 360 has more features.
How is that equal? Is it a "deal breaker"? No, just as he says. But, if you had to pick one over the other, why not pick the one with the most features?
The Xbox 360 has features the PS3 version lacks -- is it a massive difference? no, but it exists.
